We always bash 2010s for unoriginality, however i want you to remember the things, that were actually new in 2010s and really original. It can be anything: from artistic or technological to social aspect.
Idk if this just has to do with Google and YouTube having awful searching systems, but the vast majority of the kind of content you see on YouTube seems to come from the 2010s. I struggle even finding top 10 lists from the 2000s.
So did podcasting and Iron Man came out in '08 but the major innovations occurred more so in the 2010s due to the prevalence of smart phones with social media.
Algorithmic social media. For those who never got to experience it before an algorithm was dictating your feed, it was a completely different experience and felt way more personal/ communal.
The virtual reality revival of the 2010s actually brought VR to the mainstream instead of being a failed gimmicky product like what happened with the Virtual Boy during the mid 90s.
