• Circle Center in Indianapolis, IN. Everyone there got an eviction notice to be out by the 31st, even the ones that moved to the other end of the mall and thought they'd have a couple more years.

As of a few weeks ago, it was seven or eight stores plus a couple in the food court.

Man I remember that one was really nice when it opened.

Even the Indy Star is getting kicked out. Email was sent to all employees at the end of November that their last day at Circle Centre was the 12th of December

Any idea where the Indy Star is going?

And what's happening to the comedy club?

they’re moving to smaller offices a couple of blocks away, in the same building as Tin Roof. Not sure about the comedy club, they are trying to evict Punch Bowl

    Oh, the Century Building? Cool.

  • Golf Mill in Niles, IL. Seriously it's just sad inside.

It depresses me so much to see it in the state that it's in. This was my childhood mall.

Originally it was an outdoor mall, then they enclosed it more than 40 years ago. Now they are planning to make it an outdoor center again.

Yes, I used to shop there when it was an outdoor mall. Hopefully, the new mall will add vitality to the area.

  • The mall at Tuttle crossing AND (arguably the worst mall I’ve ever seen open somehow) the Marion Center Mall in Columbus, and Marion Ohio.

  • Ford City Mall in Chicago Northbrook Court in Northbrook

They were supposed to tear down Northbrook Court and build a new open air "lifestyle center", but that was a couple of years ago.

  • Burnsville center in the twin cities

  • My go too when I lived in oak park

  • Westland Mall in Westland MI, Oakland Mall in Troy MI, and Laurel Park Mall in Livonia MI. All pretty much indoor tracks for the elderly and anyone who wants a heat lamp pretzel

  • River Oaks in Calumet City, IL is on life support. I don’t know how it’s still open honestly.

Another one is Northfield Square in Bradley, IL. All the anchors are vacant

The original outdoor version of River Oaks was a nice childhood memory. I mean like late 70s/early 80s.

I remember when it was outdoor when I was very young (late 80’s). I’ve always said that it went to hell when they made it indoor.

  • Lincolnwood Town Center in Lincolnwood, IL. The place used to be packed most days of the week. Now it’s a ghost town, even on the weekends. Most stores are empty and the ones that aren’t have some sparse inventory. If not for Old Navy and Kohls I think it would have been shuttered many years ago.

  • I’d also add Century Mall in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago.

Holy shit I forgot this is an actual mall.

  • Northgate Mall, Cincinnati, OH—there’s maybe 1 or 2 national-name tenants?

  • Har Mar in Roseville, MN

  • Oakview in Omaha is a shell of its former glory. Only a couple anchor stores and it gets used for events like craft shows.

  • Fallen Timbers near Toledo has been circling the drain.

  • New Towne mall in New Philadelphia, Ohio. This is one of the closest malls near me. Any time I go in there it feels like a time capsule. They have been trying to keep it alive with community events but it is still very much dead... every year I think it will be the end but it keeps chugging along
