  • It’s just an animation to my knowledge. My friends and I puke on each other all the time for fun and we don’t lose any water or food from it, so I’d assume it also has no other “properties” or effects.

Remember, if bro gets hungry feed him like a baby bird

Bro I didn't realize this post was in the DayZ sub. 💀

Puking just purges 20-40% of what's in your stomach, so it won't affect the water and food stats. The gesture was completely cosmetic for a while after the Frostline update though.

  • It helps a bit if there's still poison in your stomach being digested, because vomiting clears a portion of those stomach contents. Like if you realize you ate too much rotten fruits or unknown can stuff, you can do the vomit gesture to avoid more severe illness. It won't do anything once you've already digested all of it.

edited to add: If you meant salmonella or cholera, then no, vomiting does practically nothing to them.

  • It won’t do anything, I can’t see it being a thing but I’d be surprised if it helped

I'm not sure if I'm hallucinating this, but I vaguely remember that a friend survived a chemical poison by repeatedly drinking water at a well until he vomited. It was waaay back in the alpha.

They parched it iirc. You could chug gasoline until you puked, get unsick, then keep repeating until you were full water.

Edit: yeah you could literally get full water from drinking only gasoline without getting sick if you drank it until you puked lmao

  • No it doesn't help. All you can do is eat vitamins or wait til it passes. Theres actually two different types off food posioning, cholera and salmonella. And they are treated differently.

  • Probably got hit by a zombie. I swear they give you a sickness if they make you bleed right?

If you let the cut heal by itself or wrap it without disinfected bandages you get a wound infection

This seems to be the case for sure. My teammate did that with dirty bandages, and it was such a pain in the butt to heal, it was easier for him to strip all his gear off, let me summarily execute him, then pick up up at his new spawn with all his gear.
