Had a debate with a guy who posted a video on Facebook. He killed a guy with 3 rounds with his AKM not suppressed at close range at the barracks north of the Airfield and when a zed approached he pull out his melee weapon and took out the zed that way and then he went back to the to where he drop homeboy and he was sliding on his dick because his legs where broke and finished him with his AKM.
Maybe I am the idiot because others had his back saying you never use rounds on a Zeds with your Primarys because it was wasteful and it would give away his postion.
Imo his postion is already exposed and one or two rounds on that one zed and quickly finishing the unconscious player would of been the play, am I wrong for thinking like this?
If i get in a gunfight and zeds start attacking me, I am shooting them with my primary. I have already gone hot and alerted anyone within earshot to my location. I am not sticking around meleeing zombies and giving another player time to get to my location.
Once i go loud, i don't switch weapons until i'm starting to reposition. You don't know if the guy you downed has a team mate or if someone will 3rd party, taking the risk to switch weapons and being in a melee fight with an infected makes no sense

doesnt really make sense if your in a fight and dont know how many there are to waste the time to save a bullet by killing a zombie with melee especially if you already shot unsuppressed
Naw your right, he already shot so being quiet is moot, and the first rule of dayz pvp is theres always one more. Ive been killed countless times by assuming i got them all, its always safest to assume theres another one and if there had been dude wouldve gotten smacked while he was being fancy with the knife.
U kill 3, u shoot the zombies, and either pull the fuck back to wait if theres more or someone showing up or you scoop up as much goodies and u book it. Using a knife to kill attracted zombies in that scenario is dumb and absolutely the wrong call 99/100 times

During a pvp encounter, i shoot every zombie.
