Nag coffee mi sakoang anak somewhere in Bonifacio. Nag order ko 2 drinks and 1 dessert and aware ko na wala gyud nilapas ug 700 ako bill. Nibayad kog buo nga 1k tapos gi suklian kog 300+. 3 ka 100 and some coins so bothered nako why 300+ lang iyaha gikambyo naghulat rako nga mag buzz tong pager kemerot kay para mapangayo nakong resibo, which i don't usually do or maski mag check sa kambyo kay lagi kumpyansa lang kaayo. And I've found out nga ang giregister na amount sa ila POS kay 600 lang.
I'm not confrontational and nagduha-duha pako if adtohon nako ang cashier or just let it pass pero akoang giadto and gibalikan ko niyag 100 đ
I dont know if modus ni karon or just honest mistake. Di sad ko new ani na issues kay maka dungog pud kog same issues before.
LESSON LEARNED: Di kaayo pakumpyansa and always ask for receipts hehe đ

Never ako nakatanggap ng resibo sa BAROK TORRES kalimot lang ko sa reason why pero ang last namo nga adto mga dec1st week walang resibo
Itâs odd how they just transferred from an old location. They should issue a receipt. I usally ASK for it. Other restos you have to ask before they issue. Something thatâs an SOP but not commonly practiced. The irony.
So true!
Mga 5 times na rin ako naka barok and not even once jud nagbigay sila resibo. Ambot jud why
Do the same thing when going to ERs, always request ipa itemize ang bill. You'd be surprised to see items na gipang charge sa imoha maski wala nagamit, kapila na nahitabo samoa đ
I won't drop the name of the shop but i will surely reach out to their management kay sikat and naga branch out pa jud ni na business luoy pud ang owner just bcos of their staff's bad(?) doing.
I hope this serves as a lesson and awareness to everyone to ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPT GYUD AND YOUR KAMBYO. đ
coffee maybe ni?
it happened to us too. if this is barok, we experienced it with magallanes branch.
Di ni Barok. Pero kana pud di sad gahatag resibo.
Happened to me too. Good thing nag check ako before going home kasi usually sa bahay na ako nag chicheck eh.
Notice pud the âemployee: unknown unknownâ pwede diay na?
Lagi. Made me wonder as well.
Ayaw pud mo kumpyansa sa groceries kay x2 quantity of the same item ila mabutang sa pos.
Nagbakasyon ko sa Davao and I noticed it too.
Dili pa gani na official receipt.
Ma consider og honest mistake if busy kay daghan customer na nagpila sa cashier but if not impossible pud oi na wala niya giihap ang kambyo đ¤¨
Not busy at all. Naay isa ka customer w a kid gihapon but nagapili pa sa order and settled sa table near the counter. So ako lang ang gina entertain that time.
Instinct kicks in jud.
This could happen similarly in a restaurant also. I mean when youâre with a big group and when you get the bill always check if the items printed are what you ordered. Some items served might have not been included and some food might be added erroneously to your bill (no matter how big or small). Happened to a parent of mine who was dining with his top clients. Being a CPA he does check the bill. It happened here in Davao years ago, a couple of items werenât theirs. And so his clients lauded him for checking the bill before paying. Others might even be shortchanging.
Drop the name of the coffee shop OP. This shouldnât be tolerated.
What if it really was an honest mistake then you cancel na the business. Naka hasol pa ka. Dapat fair when it comes to this. OP is just suggesting us to beware of the purchases. Di dapat dritso na sa bashing.
Ang layo ng 6 sa 1, aside from that may kulang pa na 0. You can tell the businss para mainvestigate nila if they regularly do this.
While I agree with the premise, Reddit and Social Media is not the proper 'tribunal' to do it.
If you want it fair, they should know theyâre getting fcked by their staff.
Yes. That's my point sa reply nako below nga dapat sa management sa ni first ipa aware and letâs not quick to ask name-drop the store or what. I just want to encourage people for responsible use of social media. That's all.
Mind you they entered 600 imbes na 1k sa ilang resibo. Youâre too naive, no offense. I didnât even suggest na i-bash nato ang business.
I get where youâre coming from, but the thing about name-dropping a business on social media for a mistake is that it immediately opens them up to bashing, and that directly affects the business, regardless of intent.
If there really was an intent to steal from customers, the proper step should be to raise it first with management, and if unresolved, then elevate it to the appropriate government agency. Because if it later turns out that this was an honest mistake and there was no intent to defraud, the damage to the business has already been doneâand that canât be undone.
People on social media, including Reddit, have a tendency to immediately judge a person or a business without solid evidence. As a lawyer myself, Iâm very aware that criminal cases require proof beyond reasonable doubt, the highest standard of proof. Yet here, people are quick to believe whatever they see online. And letâs be clearâposting allegations âfor awarenessâ does not automatically make them safe. A lot of these still fall under libel.
Iâm not being naive. What Iâm saying is that posting and shaming a business, especially when even the customer admitted it was their first time encountering the issue, is unfair. There are proper channels and tribunals for these matters. Taking it straight to Reddit or social media is counterproductive and risks causing disproportionate harm compared to the alleged mistake.
How can it be an honest mistake? Typing 600 is different from typing 1000, so from there on I donât think itâs an honest mistake after all.
Di nako 1st time sa shop but 1st time to exp.
And sa customer service industry di na jud ni new na mga tikas. sometimes i heard, kanang pang 1 cup na drink himuong duha para ang bayad sa extra ilaha and so on. Or if out of stock ang drinks sa menu, naga serve gihalon sila but from their own pocket. Mga ana na tirada hahaha so di jud ko sure if mistake or modus huhu magka trust issue pud ta
PS: not the same shop ha? Random lang.
