I know this is a joke but I can honestly see somebody just imagining the game by pure memory. There'd be no evidence or any proof that they beat the game it would be kind of like an honor system but if they just sat there meditating or something and the whole time they were doing it they were playing dark souls in their mind and they remember every detail so exquisitely that they could accurately do it, that would be the best way to beat dark souls. Purely in your mind no level ups no weapon
This is like chess mental play but with 10,000 steps instead of a few dozen. It would probably take a while because you’d need to know every enemy position and do a dice roll for their possible next movements based on your positioning and actions. For bosses like O&S you’d probably need graph paper with each boss and your current position, since it’s probably taxing to mentally simulate ornstein’s column acceleration otherwise. This kind of gets into the problem of speed hacking since in mind space you can simulate perfect input responses, and the need for actual RNG basically necessitates it.
