My 2yo daughter is sitting in my lap and she's taking turns with my 5yo son hitting balls off a tee. She looks at me and says ,"Daddy, it's a lovely day. Will you hold my hand?" And we sat there and held hands and watched my son hit. It was lovely and it was freaking cute. Had to share somewhere. Hope you guys had a good weekend too.

I had a similar moment when my son was 2. It was Christmas morning, he walked downstairs to see what Santa brought and said to my wife, “merry Christmas, mommy” in the most hallmark way ever.
I caught an unprompted “merry Christmas daddy!” from my 2.5-year-old son this year. It was so great.

My daughter had a meltdown when she found out our dog has been licking the leftover peanut butter off the spoon when I make a smoothie for the last few months instead of her. It was also the highlight of my weekend (no sarcasm)
