It is true - when I was in high school (early 90s), a teacher got fired after it became public that she had repeatedly been taking on students two at a time.
There were other teachers at the school sleeping with students & the principal’s wife was a former student (officially they did not start dating until the day after she graduated) but that was overlooked as long as you weren’t being blatant about it- everyone knew but as long as they could wink & look the other way, they did so.
That was at a fancy boarding school that in 2025 dollars cost almost $100k per year.
Hell, my parents even signed a liability waiver so I could date the ESL teacher’s aid (technically the waiver was so she could take me off campus on Friday nights to go to dinner & “cultural events”) & my parents gave me a copy of their Amex card so I could pay for everything.
It was really a different time, I was 15, she was 26 & even though the drinking age was 21, nobody cared that we would share a bottle of wine at the restaurant (the school just required yet another note permitting me to consume alcohol off campus) as long as she ordered it.

Bizarrely, I was significantly more attractive to adult women when I was 14-18 than in my 20s.
