I have about four crows that I feed daily. I absolutely adore them. They put an instant smile on my face when they show up in the morning to eat. The main thing I put in the food trays is unsalted peanuts. Every now and then I like to add a little something extra. I’ve done unsalted cashews which are kinda expensive, raw cut up stew meat, and boiled eggs. They like the cashews, however that gets a little expensive, they will only eat the yolk of the boiled eggs, and this last time they barely touched the stew meat. What is a good treat to add here and there with the peanuts?

  • You can scramble the egg and they likely will eat it all. Many folks have great success with that. Any meat that’s not seasoned is apt be a hit. Plus dog or cat kibble often is well received. Some crows like the occasional bits of fruit.

Exactly! I have had great experience with all of this for my murder. I appreciate all crowbros who bring the tasty noms to our friends.

  • Suet cut up into smaller chunks. I put it out in the morning even if it's freezing they will usually come early and eat it before it freezes solid, if not I just put the frozen chunks back in the tray and bring inside to thaw.

Also dog food I leave for opossums, skunks and foxes. If they don't come overnight the crows will eat it in the morning.

I don't give them peanuts directly but the blue jays have a peanut feeder they drop a lot from and the crows will pick up whatever they drop, then soak it in the bird bath.

  • We get unsalted cashews at Poundland (like a dollar store). And we absolutely love watching and feeding the birds, too!
