• Wow, I remember this episode. It was like 15-16 years ago. I was living in my apartment, working midnights, and I didn't have cable. So it was daytime TV for me.

Well, how's life now? I'm invested

breh he didn't have cable this isn't the pursuit of happiness

    Van down by the river

  • *caught white-handed

  • why is she talking like that lmao

  • Anyone else think that maybe this clip could be used for the greater good? This woman's behavior is atrocious, and it's exactly why society is doing so poorly. People have forgotten shame. That woman clearly doctored the evidence she handed the judge. Yet as she departed the courtroom, was she in any way contrite? Did she exude any regret or reflection on how she made a very poor choice?

In my opinion, that behavior is EXACTLY how I imagine our President thinks. Even when he's wrong, he's mad and pointing fingers. It doesn't matter if we're right (January 6th, fraudulent election, Mueller report, GOP led Senate Intelligence report in 2016, or the "Perfect phone call" <Ukraine or Georgia, your choice>), he's confident that we're wrong and HE's right. The evidence clearly shows he's wrong. Still doesn't matter, and he will never admit it.

At some point, people who live in the conservative news bubble need to have some truth provided to them. So let's use a funny clip to do that.

Its just so dumb. It would have been faster/easier to use MS paint, even 15 years ago, to remove the text she didn't want, and move the bottom text up.

  • Y'all know these court shows aren't real and the people are actors right

Well that’s just false, I know 2 separate individuals that were asked to be on Judge Judy and both went (different cases).

I mean that’s literally how it’s handled. Those shows aren’t real. They re-enact legitimate court cases but it’s not their court case. It’s the same way they do Jerry Springer, they let randoms come on and sometimes pay them for it but for the most part it’s amateur actors who are trying to break in to the industry doing probono work for their agent.

I can't speak for all of the court tv shows, but I know for a fact that they aren't all as you speak. Judge Judy has legitimate court cases with the actual plantiff and defendant. They have a team that searches the country for small claims court cases and offers to fly them out, and in exchange the defendant doesn't owe anything if they lose.

Judge Judy is a retired judge, she acts as an arbitrator for small claims and the participants are paid and it’s played up for entertainment. It’s not a “re-enactment” like most of the court shows but it’s not a traditionally governed court, it’s a studio set and there is indeed a gimmick to it. Even a surface-level google search tells you all you need to know but yeah, I went down a rabbit hole with these types of “reality” shows a couple years ago and that’s where I’m getting the info.

The only legitimate court show that I’m aware of was “Caught in Providence” with Judge Frank Caprio, though all of his cases were traffic/municipal related he was a lawfully appointed, active-duty judge in a real court and there was no catch.
