That would be so funny if they gave crystal inquisitors a pass if the crystals were light enough.

Need tan in the lighteyes section

    parent
    53 points Inkthinker

Yup, though probably a low-rank lighteyes.

It's not about hue, it's about brightness.

    20 points h_allover

Yes but that would be nuanced, we don't do that here.

The dichotomy with light eyes and dark eyes isn't about color, but brightness. One of the darkeyed bridgement has violate eyes for example.

If it's Dunny I thought he and Sig were the only ones who claimed he had violet eyes, everyone else said they were a different color

    parent root
    30 points Docponystine

Yes, and I trust Sig over basically everyone else's recognition of it. But Elsewhere it notes that others have dark colored eyes of "lighter" colors. Dark colors can start to look the same, particularly when such a small thing.

I believe light eyes have literally supernaturally light eyes, much like how color perception on Nalthus is higher than cosemere normal.

Yeah, I imagine light eyes like those types of eyes that glow in the dark in a creepy way or something like in Teen Wolf(where the eyes were basically the indication of a supernatural creature because they all looked human).

I believe there's a character with hazel eyes that are described as a lighteyes, so it's definitely not this clear cut, I'm pretty sure what we're intended to read into it is that lighteyes eyes literally have a very minor luminescence to them.

Brandon has said that he’d be a darkeyes though, and he has hazel eyes

    parent root
    9 points bakervanb

Yes that's the point. Hazel (or any hue) could be lighteyes or darkeyes, but the lighteyes are lighter toned and (at least in my head) have a tiny bit of radiance

Depicting the lighteyes as the eyebleeding MS Paint neon colors is the best slander I've seen in a long time.

    parent
    10 points h_allover

It's only eyebleeding for those with eyes too dark to reflect the glorious light.

As someone with blue eyes, I fear I would still be profiled on Roshar because they are a dark blue. 😔

As someone who would personally benefit greatly from this form of government, I think we should hear the Alethis out.
