As Wario hates fun and abhors personal cognitive and spiritual development, he outlawed the mushrooms and restricted all kart racing to 50cc.
Upon their return, Peach and Mario learned of the evils that had taken place in the kingdom and decided to take action. They rented a van and abducted Wario as he was walking out of the Coconut Mall.
While Wario was banished from the kingdom, and sent to Sonic's Green Hill Zone to serve out his punishment, Peach took stock of the sad state of her kingdom and worked to undo all of the damage that Wario had done which including re-legalizing the amanita-adjacent fungal fruits.
