As the title states I am completed new to CC. I have a class in February I will be attending to get my certificate and will be carrying as frequently as possible after said course.

I have a sig sauer p365XL and am looking at purchasing an IWB holster from Eclipse Holsters for it. I like the reviews, the look, and the practicality with the types of clothing I wear. I also am considering the Eclipse brand because they are compatible with the Philster Holsters Enigma, which is ideally how I would like to carry considering my activity levels. I have already checked and the holster model I would need IS compatible with the Enigma and necessary modifications will be made in production (I emailed Eclipse to verify).

I am looking for advice on the practicality of this kind of set up. I am a slender (5'8" 120), very active woman, so I'm not particularly worried about the fit of the straps and things on the Enigma which I have heard shorter women have issues with, I'm more concerned about the width of it to ensure its actually a concealed carry and I don't end up with imprints in my daily wear or having any odd wider shapes that would indicate I'm carrying.

I would love any suggestions for this type of set up, or any alternatives that you all prefer. I would like to carry on body, not in a bag unless a summer outfit or dress requires. Looking for it to be comfortable enough to be able to carry while doing physical activity (running, hiking, dog walking, etc)

Thanks in advance!

** I live in a state that does not require permits to CC and open carry is totally ok, I am NOT currently carrying without a permit, just trying to get myself set up for when I do have a permit to carry.

  • Great carry choice and one of my favorites. Every individual has their prefered method and it often fluctuates with seasons/ clothing/ environment / activity. Some of my personal favorites: Cakes Concealment (magnetic enclosed compartment and rapidly accessible), an AIWB holster with soft loops added for increased retention, and a lastly, a kydex OWB holster with molded belt loops worn at 3 o'clock. I researched Enigma for months before ordering. I worked with it a lot. I didn't find it comfortable for me... but I loved the idea of it.
