What do you think is the best conceal carry holster? I have a Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm. Which doesn't conceal well 🤣 and I knew that when buying it but didnt really care because I'm particular with how my firearms fit in my hand and the potential of narly recoil. I've had small framed pistols & they dont usually fit right and the recoil is often times too hard on my wrist. Although, I love the shield, I opted for the M&P. Open carry is an option for me but I wear yoga pants all the time. I've used a belly band which is fine, however I dont think it allows me to be quick on the draw. I've read a conceal carry purse might be my best option, but I'd rather have my firearm on me. The struggle is real 😂 Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you 😊
We'll all universally preach the benefits and how great the Phlster Enigma is, that's because it is pretty great and one of the best solutions.
Belly bands in my opinion, especially with larger pistols, are pretty meh for concealment. they don't really press the grip into your body.
Alternatively, you could look at a comfort concealment belt, hunter contantine belt, blue alpha edc belt combined with a quality holster (JMCK, T1C, Tenicor, Guerilla Tactical, Vedder) and wear it beneath your clothing like you would with the enigma or a belly band. You may want to add a wedge to the holster, moleskin (or cloth you glue on) on the back also helps with comfort. And some general finetuning of where it sits on your body.
edit to add: Phlster FULL Concealment Tune-Up Course (general, not enigma specific)
For me, the PHLster Enigma is the "buy once, cry once" way to go. Haven't looked for other options since I purchased. Especially if you can get the express version for your pistol.
Vedder rapidtuck is super comfy and the leather against the body has enough friction that it could be worn with just yoga pants. It can accommodate a full size pistol and won't have the slow draw time of* a purse or belly band that's just way hard to pull out quickly
Tier 1 with discreet carry clips.Â
