The Weekly Pull List results for this Wednesday are in, and this week's top book is DC's Absolute Flash #10.
This thread is open to Pull List posters and all members of the /r/comicbooks community to share your thoughts on the latest issue of DC's Absolute Flash or any new books shipping this week.
The primary intention of this thread is to promote discussion of new books. It also serves as a way to consolidate discussion to a single thread and talk about what books are popular here on /r/comicbooks. That does not mean other threads aren't welcome, this is just a place to start that's easy to find each week.
The thread is populated with comments meant to direct the discussion of each book. Based on community preference we populate the thread with titles appearing on Ten Percent or more of submitted pull lists. If a title you want to talk about is not listed, simply add a comment with the title and issue number first and comment below. There is also a comment dedicated to the discussion of WPL Results linked above.
Spoilers will follow, but there's no harm in tagging them as such. Each title in the Top Ten Percent listed below is linked directly to its corresponding comment for ease of navigation and to avoid seeing details from other books. The post has also been placed in "contest mode" to help readers avoid spoilers while browsing.

SUPERMAN THE KRYPTONITE SPECTRUM #5
If you’re lucky, on very rare occasions, you might get an A+ comic. And then, even more infrequently, you might be fortunate enough to stumble upon an A+ comic where each and every panel of each and every page is packed with A+ quality material.
This is an excellent example of the latter, delivering 32 pages of tightly focused storytelling and deft characterization to bring this unique Superman story to its climactic finish. It’s not just a typical “part 5 of 5” closer, this is a proper conclusion that revisits each of the new flavors of kryptonite along with the core themes from the first four issues, drawing it all together before wrapping everything up and dropping the final cherry on top. There isn’t a single panel wasted, every inch of the book is bursting with pure love for the medium as well as the DC universe and its characters.
After spending the past several years obsessed with Prince and Morazzo’s existential ice cream horror comic, watching them continually hone and refine their storytelling techniques over the course of the series, it was incredibly cool seeing them bring it all over to the DC universe without missing a beat. And! It was also pretty damn awesome seeing the reviews and reactions from so many DC fans who hadn’t followed their work before! Many of the comments echoed the sort of wonder that I felt back when this creative team first blew my mind with Ice Cream Man.
Early on we saw a bunch of comparisons to Morrison and Quitely’s All-Star Superman, but after running its course I think The Kryptonite Spectrum stands apart as its own unique entry in the Superman mythos, perfectly capturing the heart, humor, and creative energy that Prince and Morazzo bring to their collaborations. It isn’t exactly shy about its influences, Silver Age and otherwise, but it pieces it all together into an experience that’s distinct from what’s come before, and distinctive to how this particular creative team works with sequential storytelling.
Hats off to W.M. Prince, Martin Morazzo, Chris O’Halloran, and Good Old Neon for making the leap from existential ice cream horror to Big Two superhero comics! Hopefully we’ll get another DC series out of them down the road, though I’ll be looking forward to a few new issues of ICM first...
10/10
Haven't been to the comic book shop yet this week, but even as a fan of Ice Cream Man, this series surprised me. I didn't dig it issue #1 too much - but ever since then it's been an amazing ride. Love all the dips into the Superman mythos and the clever storytelling throughout. Looking forward to the final issue.
I like that we get to see Clark defeat Lex, the Kryptonite Man, and the Bizarro Bots with help from Bruce, Lois, Jimmy, Krypto, the Superman Robots, and Kal-Elf, in which he told Jimmy that he looks great in bows (because he’s being honest with himself and that it’s an homage to him getting affected by pink Kryptonite, which didn’t exist in this universe), told Lois that she’s going to be a great mom and that he’s going to root for her, and thank Bruce for always being there for him because they’re the World’s Finest who got each other’s backs no matter what all throughout the multiverse before Clark defeated Lex (in which Clark told Lex that Metropolis isn’t his home), Bruce used cobalt Kryptonite to save Clark’s life (in which he and Lois aren’t going to like it), and Lois becoming a mother to a reborn Clark (who became an infant) with help from Jimmy (because he’s Superman’s best pal) and Linda. Overall, this is a ridiculously great comic and a great end to this series!
EXQUISITE CORPSES #8
No way he’s actually dead, right?
He might be, I could see the EMT taking his mask and filling in for him. First issue could have just been a misdirect.
You’re most likely right. Was hoping maybe they’d team up to stop the whole thing
WPL RESULTS
BATMAN SUPERMAN WORLDS FINEST #46
I like that Clark and Bruce, with Hal’s help, merge themselves to become the Superbat Lantern again to deal with the Lex Joker Absorbacon, resulting in them saving as many people as they can and for Lex and Joker to learn and reveal Clark and Bruce’s identities to the entire world. Let’s hope that the World’s Finest heroes will defeat the World’s Finest villains and make sure that they’ll find someway to make their identities be secret again. Overall, this comic is great!
X-MEN BOOK OF REVELATION #3
THE BAT-MAN SECOND KNIGHT #2
POWER FANTASY #14
Shout-out to Masumi for showing the most personal growth out of everyone in the main cast!
DC K.O. HARLEY QUINN VS ZATANNA #1
I find it interesting that Zatanna and Harley get to have a fight, resulting in Zatanna to win and for her to plan on using her rage to defeat Darkseid. Also, Grodd using his psychic influence to free Booster Gold from Darkseid’s control. Overall, this comic is fine.
I picked this up because I really like Leah Williams’ X-Terminators. I wasn’t disappointed. It was nice for Harley to realize she’s a jobber but make sure she still had meaningful impact on the outcome. I’m hoping we get some Upside-Down man later on based on Harley’s use of JL Dark events to get under Zatanna’s skin
NIGHTWING #133
I like that we get to see Dick have a chat with Maggie to talk about what’s going on and what happened to Bryce, with Maggie telling Dick that she has met the World’s Finest in her decades as a cop from the ‘80s to the 2010s, before he had a chat with Melinda (who told him that she and Adure are leaving Blüdhaven to have a fresh start) and went to the Fifth Dimension (with J’onn’s help) to deal what the Zanni and save the people from him. Overall, this comic is good.
DIE LOADED #2
EVERYTHING DEAD & DYING #4
ABSOLUTE FLASH #10
I think my issue with Absolute Flash is that it does feel slow. His heroes journey might be akin to Absolute Superman but alot of things were happening to Kal-El while Wally is running around and the world is being setup around him.
We could prolly shave off 2-3 issues from this Flash and be okay storywise. I will hold my final judgment until issue #12 but I can't really help but contrast and compare Absolute Flash and GL with the Absolute Trinity. I think it's more than fair considering they are all on the same price point.
I like that Wally and the Rogues dealt with Mick Rory (with Snart telling Wally to go find his dad while he and the Rogues deal with Mick) before Wally traveled to Fort Knox, dealt with the Trickster, encountered Thawne (who literally became a monster after decades being trapped somewhere), and traveled to a different world and saw Barry. Let’s hope that Barry will tell Wally what’s going on in the next issue. Overall, this comic is great.
SUPERMAN UNLIMITED #8
I like that Clark team up with Guy to save Lois and the astronauts from the Durlans, in which Sebastian Stagg (who should realize that he doesn’t exist pre-Crisis and pre-Flashpoint because Metamorpho’s history had been screwed over) colluded with them, with help from Toyman. Also, Lois telling Clark the word “xylophone” because she wants him to make sure that it’s really her in case something goes wrong, which it did. Overall, this is a great comic.
BATTLEWORLD #4
MOON KNIGHT FIST OF KHONSHU #15
Solid wrap-up. Those last three pages advertising for the next run were EXCELLENT though. Idk why, I stared at those black and white pages longer than anything else in the book.
Really surprised it's already time for a relaunch, but honestly if this book has to get relaunched every year and half to keep going I'm good with it.
KAYA #32
SACRIFICERS #18
ROGUE STORM #3
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES CASEY JONES #3
THOR #5
PLANET SHE-HULK #2
AVENGERS #33
W0RLDTR33 #17
CONAN THE BARBARIAN #27
WONDER WOMAN #28
I find it interesting that Diana was able to free an island from Mouse Man before she told him that she’s going to leave him alone after defeating him a d told the girl that she’s going to make mistakes and find a way into the darkness and the light as herself. Also, the World’s Finest (because Tom King’s work on them) telling Diana that there’s going to be consequences for her traveling to an island and an alternate future timeline where the Matriarch killed Diana’s Rogues. Overall, this comic is fine.
TITANS #30
For the life of me I cant believe Cyborg won via friendship.
I liked this a lot compared to the other K.O. books. It addressed the giant discrepancies that the audience would point out in this matchup and had a conclusion that felt reconcilable.
I like that we get to see Victor fight Swamp Thing, to told him to promise him to make sure that he’s going to defeat Darkseid, before it resulted in Victor winning the round. Also, Lian (who called out Roy for not asking Oliver about him joining the Titans back in 1964) and Jon helping Roy (who called Lian out for helping Jade rob the Justice League) and Donna evacuate the civilians (before Grail encountered Donna and Roy) and Grodd dealing with Darkseid. Overall, this is a good comic.
GI JOE #16
Walked in today and the guy had all 5 issues of kryptonite spectrum. Also got the planet she hulk 2, and grabbed knightfight 2, hulk smash everything, and dc ko 2.
Good day.
RADIOACTIVE SPIDER-MAN #3
BLACK CAT #5
