The fact that they have some actually great art within their catalog makes this comment lose all validity. Especially considering WB's MAJOR artistic fuck ups in comparison.
Their percentage of mid IS notable but your take just reads as "hater" by all definitions..
idk man theyve screwed stuff up before but theyve also nailed a few shows. an R rated Batman could work if they actually let the animators go wild instead of meddling too much
Never been a huge fan of the snyderverse, but why not?!
The snydercut was fun and it ended on a cliffhanger. Netflix loves dumping money on terrible content, might as well make something thats been in demand for some time.
I think the difference is that the general audience had absolutely no expectations from Ironman or any of the other Avengers as they were relatively unknown, the only big names from Marvel at the time was Spiderman and the X-men, and maybe FF. So whatever that was offered to the audience by Disney that was at least half fun was well received.
As for Batman and Superman though, the expectations were through the roof as they are the most popular heroes ever, so naturally "wasn't as bad" didnt cut it for most people.
Hear me out: -A Nightwing and Red Hood show (set up similar to falcon and the winter soldier)
-A short horror film (8-25 minutes) or short tv series from the perspective of a low tier criminal in Gotham who’s hunted by the Batman (not directly, moreso Batman trying to make him feel hunted so he can take down a larger organization/gang)
-Elseworld Batman Beyond film in the spider-verse style.
-An action rom-com (Mr. & Mrs. Smith style) starring Green Arrow and Black Canary in the DCU
--Short series’ for a few significant characters, one for Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, etc. They get their own short series of 4-8 minute animated episodes that covered key comics in their creation as characters like their first appearance in comics, their first official comic title (like how Superman appeared in action comics and then later his first comic with his name in the title and how Batman appeared in both Detective comics and then Batman #1.)
I just hope they don’t do the Batman Beyond Spiderverse style thing… 30% of the shows beauty was the art, the style itself and if they do it now 1. It won’t have the same style, 2. It will be some digital dogs**t that looks soulless like Superman: Man of Tomorrow and Crisis on Infinite Earths and 3. Finding good voices may be a problem nowadays.
Nah, they'll retell the Wayne's murder for the thousandth time, tell an okay story in the first season, then cancel the series after a single season or they'll take 5 years to make season 2 at an overall lower quality.
My first thought was that Netflix loving Snyder is going to be a problem but screw it, let him do this via elseworlds so that we can have the official dcu still with Gunn.

Also
this is long overdue
Would be real schway if they take things…B E Y O N D
New Batman animated series?
Obviously digitally drawn and simplified
Vibrant and overstated
Teal shadows with warm orange highlights
Uninspired unoriginal story
Stock voice actors
If it's Netflix they can cook hard, after all they had cyberpunk
Also Blue Eye Samurai
Squid games
Yeah no, they would 100% fuck it up
I wouldn’t say 100%. Blue Eyed Samurai and also Arcane:Legends on Netflix is good shit.
Pantheon too. Pantheon goes hard. That finale is wild.
Rushed in Season 2 but loved it
People on Reddit are EXTREMELY pessimistic

Their Castlevania show was excellent.
They didn’t screw up Daredevil or Jessica Jones.
Just keep letting Gunn do his thing.
I agree. I think Gunn has proven himself. I hope they (Netflix) don't end what just started. Let the man cook.
I had the same thought. It would work better as a one off movie instead of a series.
I don't mind the series IF you give it to the studio that did Cyberpunk 2077 and keep it animated would be my choice.
Stealing a decades old Spawn villain and calling it Joker is a hard pass from me.
Arby's-olute Batman tie-in lfg
Nah fuck this
Netflix: “Best I can do is animated Snyder’s Justice League sequel”
Works for me.
Never been a huge fan of the snyderverse, but why not?!
The snydercut was fun and it ended on a cliffhanger. Netflix loves dumping money on terrible content, might as well make something thats been in demand for some time.
Snyderverse wasnt as bad. The Justice League monumental fuck up wasnt all on him, and we’ve been tolerating garbage movies in MCU since Iron Man 2.

I just know they'll fuck it up somehow 😞
Turning Joker into a freakish monster feels like a bad idea. I didn't like the Arkham game Joker boss fight at all.
For absolute Batman, this makes sense. It fits the absolute series.
Please!! I need Elordi as Batman and this is perfect.
Can’t wait for it too look shitty
Anime
Nah.
Adi Shankar would find a way to ruin it.

Two words–
Studio TRIGGER.
I'd rather have live action batman beyond, with a semi retired Bruce wayne played by Jon Hamm.
Netflix being nope even we know enough is enough
It doesn't have enough yet. I'd say give it at the very least like 30 issues before doing that.
Animated.. needs to be animated. And not by the guys who did batman ninja.
Im glad some of you will still go where wb goes, netflix cant have my money anymore been that way for years....i hope it doesnt finalize
I'd assume it's inevitable as far as content goes but knowing very little about the buyout is HBO just going to lose everything DC?
Righttttt?
Or Batman beyond
Yeah, because that's a sentence you hear all the time, "This'll be good. It was produced by Netfix."
I just hope they don’t do the Batman Beyond Spiderverse style thing… 30% of the shows beauty was the art, the style itself and if they do it now 1. It won’t have the same style, 2. They'll also charge an extra $5 a month plus ads
No.
Animated like castlevania, I can see that. If its live action, hell to the mutual fuckin nawl.
Let Snyder do absolute Batman as an elseworlds to appease the snyderbros
Please Netflix
We don't need a Batfridge show
Daredevil was at its best with Netflix. I support the merger.
I’d watch it, but there’s not exactly enough material yet for a full on animated series
Spider-Verse proved that people want bold styles that can't be achieved in live action. Wasn't it the highest grossing CBM that year?
Surprised a lot of the Marvel/DC slate in this "fatigued" genre hasn't been announced as animation.
After Batman Ninja I kinda lost all hope…
The square matted symbol looks unbelievably bad... Cant get over it
It's a literal axe that he can detach to fight with. Esthetic is the last thing on his mind when practical use is better.
Well if the axe head actually looked like a bat... Its a comic book, if we dont give consideration to esthetic...
It does look like a bat. But the fact that it's an axe makes this legit.
If this wasnt contextualised as the bat symbol this woildnt be recognizable as a bat, its way too minimalistic
Wait...........so he has a giant sharp rigid piece of metal on his when not using it?
It just gets even dumber. This is some edgelord shit.

What established fictional characters have they made non binary? Genuinely asking because I can’t think of any but maybe I’m just not paying attention
Some people are just conditioned to make pronoun jokes at this point, regardless of the situation.
None. Should I have added the s/? Netflix just loves virtua signalling by moving away from source material. See the Witcher as an example if you like.
I haven’t watched The Witcher, what did they do?
Billionaire heir to the Wayne fortune, Ru Wayne makes it their mission to stop the crime that and corruption that caused the death of their parents.
I dont see a problem with this.
My first thought was that Netflix loving Snyder is going to be a problem but screw it, let him do this via elseworlds so that we can have the official dcu still with Gunn.
Yeah they love him so much that they cancelled the last project he had in active development and declined to distribute his cop movie.
Don't hold your breath jefe.
Oh I didn’t know that, I don’t really keep up on Snyder news I just know he had some deals for movies there.
That’s good to know thanks
Yeah the only one who really wanted him at Netflix was Stuber and he's been gone for a while now.
