Every year I think one of the best things of every season is to find a mid major team that can make a deep run or a power 4 school that has the ability to surprise their conference.
Should go to several! Just moved much closer after being an 8 hour drive for the last few years so definitely looking forward to checking out some games this year.
I think MSU is much closer to clear contender than sleeper. The O’Connor hire and the subsequent recruiting/transfer class have been widely regarded as outstanding.
I guess it depends on what your definition of sleeper is. I think most would say it’s a team that flies relatively under the radar and surprises people by how good they are. I don’t think MSU really fits that profile
Kentucky. Going to have one of the best center infields in the country. Tyler Bell had a great freshman season but should make a jump in year 2.
Brought the weekend pitching staff back for another year. Had the #8 portal class.
We’re not sleeper this year, but I’m kind sick of us pooping the bed on the way to Omaha and while we’re there, so I’m just going to say we’re a sleeper so I can say something. I’m annoying.
Im not sure how much of a "sleeper" ECU is in the college baseball world, but given the down year last year they should be much better this year and could make a deep run.
After Utah Valley University beat Oregon I was hoping they’d win the regional. Their program growth has accelerated compared to where they were even 5 years ago.
Whoever wins the MVC has a chance to make a run. We've gotten a team into the super regional stage in 4 of the past 5 years.
2025 - Murray State 2024 - Evansville 2023 - Indiana State 2021 - Dallas Baptist
The Valley's a rock solid conference right now. Hell, weren't they a 2-bid league last year?
No, only Murray State last year. Last time we had 2 bids was 2024.
Ahhh got my years mixed up
Iowa is either going to be a deep run or just miss the tournament and there is no in between
I desperately want to see how Iowa fans would react to the Jell-O shot competition
Hawk Fans are no LSU, but they love their Alcohol (Our victory song is literally about drinking beer)
Oregon State’s last year (thankfully) as an independent. They have a very strong pitching staff, I hope they make it to Omaha!
Last year was certainly a grind. The team traveled something like 25,000 miles. It has toughened the boys up for the Minor League grind.
Amen!
One of these years Grand Canyon will get hot at the right time and ruin someone's season and I can't wait for that to happen
Kennesaw State narrowly missed making the tournament last year and got one of the top recruits in the country, so I'll give a shoutout to the Owls.
Josh is a dude and I hope he does well
I have LA Tech making a deep run, and I am excited to see if Troy can take down coastal
Sun Belt leaving a USM/CCU series out is criminal

Same
CUSA should be a really deep league this year but I don’t see a true deep threat yet. It’ll be fun to see if one emerges
I mean, DBU is always strong. Look for Liberty to be good, as we added 3-5 bats and retained a lot of talent
DBU is joining the PAC-12 as an affiliate. Oregon State is finally getting more friends.
it’s an even year, so that means we should be good and hopefully make a regional.
As bad as we’ve been lately can you count Hail State as a sleeper?
Thinking of going to a game at the dude this year. Team looks strong

Agreed. And expectations being as high as they typically are would likely forever prevent us from “sleeper” status.
don't think they can be called a sleeper after the O'Connor hire and what y'all have done building that roster. Expectations are rightfully quite high
UTSA. Totally not biased

Stanford I hope
Would love to see Delaware start to crack into this list over the next couple year
Always a Cinderella team every year.

We did a lot this offseason. Could be dangerous in a regional
Southern Miss makes it to the CWS this year
Im not sure how much of a "sleeper" ECU is in the college baseball world, but given the down year last year they should be much better this year and could make a deep run.
Non ECU team though, Id say ive got no clue
26-27, ECU has one hell of a catcher coming in
Murray State. I have a feeling we’re going all the way this time

Troy's chip on their shoulder is huge. Amazing coaching staff, they will go on a run then Meade gets the South Carolina job.
They are my favorite to win the SBC this year
I’m totally not biased at all but I think Troy could go on a run to at least the supers this year
Until Arkansas actually DOES something, count them as a sleeper. As in, they fall asleep the whole month of June.
