So for English class, we need to write our final essay on a theme that these both share. I chose the prompt coming of age, but I’m having such a hard time choosing a theme that connects to both. One of my ideas was about moral responsibility and how when we grow up we need to take responsibilities to actually grow up. My second idea which I kinda like more but it’s way more broad is that growing up isn’t inherititly good or bad, but it’s a complicated expirience. And then there’s this third idea which is about growing up and how it becomes destructive when ppl cling to comforting illusions instead of confronting uncomfortable truths about themselves and society. I feel like the third idea is the best, but I need so much help on ideas I could expand on and also evidence i could use, if yall could help.
