Any way to downgrade Chromebook

I accidentally updated my Chromebook to the extended security but I didn't know what it was and now my Google play and all apps are gone and I really want them back is there anyway to revert it or roll back to the older version my device is hp x360 11 G1 ee I don't want to change os

  • The only way is to perform recovery - this should wipe the device and reinstall the final stable channel release. Once recovered remember to ignore any future invitations to move to extended support.

Please how do I do it

Well, you could Google "recover your Chromebook".

You will need an 8gig flash drive 16 would be better I have seen some 8 gig ones not work.

Then install the extension LikelyNotThatGuy posted

click on the extension it will open a window and guide you. It should offer up your model right away so you can click that or look it up in the list.

The flash drive will be erased so make sure there is nothing you need on it.

Once the program is done press and hold esc and then press and hold refresh the arrow above the number 4 and then press the power button. Let go of the other keys and watch it do its thing.

As a note if you keep any data on the chromebook which is a very bad idea BTW it will all be erased as well.

Always more any files to google drive or an external drive before you start.

I did do this but first thing my model is not there so I got the file from https://cros.download/ and when I did it says I can't do it because it's an older update but I bypassed that by entering developer mode so after the installation it gives me an error like chrome os is missing or damage and when I restart it it says there was an error visit this site to fix it and it's the Google Chromebook recovery website I think what I did wrong that could bypass that is that before it says chrome os is missing or damage it asked me to.turn of dev mod and I accepted but I don't think that would do anything
