For some reason all of my Tab Session Manager sessions are gone. I had several manually saved sessions but I only have auto saved sessions from 11th November onwards, so several years' worth of saved sessions are gone.
Does anyone know why? I'm pretty sure I didn't clean up my temp files, does anyone know where I can check to see if I can find them or dig for them using restore deleted files tools?

Can be a data corruption so the extension reset itself (or Chrome reset it) to start working again. Next time make manual backups of your saved sessions, just like you surely are backing up your other important data.

I had manual backups, but they're all gone, unless you meant exporting the json file, which I was pretty sure I did a few months ago but sadly I can't find it. Thanks for link. It's very likely Chrome reset the extension, since it saves backups more often than I feel like I set it to. I did recover some files some were only partially recoverable, so I'll try and see if I can use that or not. Do you have any tips for recovery software? I'll try to check if I did delete the Tabsessionmanger folder from downloads by accident, where it keeps all saves, but Recuva didn't find the folder in downloads.
Interestingly enough, I still can't find the manual save I made, as there should be the json file, unless they have it in the io folder.
Yeah I meant exporting the file, because using an extension for making backups of Chrome sessions and keeping them basically inside a Chrome isn't the most ideal.
If it's on an SSD, then you most likely won't be able to restore deleted stuff, because SSDs don't leave any "leftovers" like HDDs do. They're physically erased after a TRIM command which is running periodically and sometimes even right after you delete something.
I'm using Session Buddy extension and it always asks me where I want to save the export. I don't know about the one you're using, does it ask too? If yes, try to click on the export now, maybe it will show the last location you've saved it to.
