Hey guys,
I’m a student in Nanjing, China, and I really want to get braces. My teeth aren’t terrible, but I have an upper bite opening that makes me feel insecure, and people have joked about my teeth before.
I’ve saved ¥5,000 so far—is that a realistic budget for braces here? And is it possible to get braces put on within the next ~2.5 weeks?
Thanks in advance for any advice! #china
That’s not quite enough.
Straightening your teeth can cost well over ten thousand, so go see a dentist first, if the price is too high, you can simply skip it.

Do you have insurance? How much work to be done really dictates how much it'll cost, but my guesstimation is ~10,000 RMB - 50,000RMB. It also depends on the material.
But I've never had student insurance in China, so I have no idea what it encompasses nor if it's covered.
Can you go to a local dentist and ask?
I paid 10000 for something cheaper than invisaling, if you're the metal braces they should wayyyy cheaper. all you need to do is go to dianping search for metal braces, contact the dentist and they will tell you prices.
