Actually i was looking at Rxg7. It's not a check, but it sets up a different mate threat if black captures the queen, because white can recapture with a discovered check from the dark-squared Bishop and black is still toast.
Still slower than the bishop capture though, because it allows black to chase white's king around with Qh4+ for a few moves - but it's a mate in 7 for white. But I had trouble finding the proper mate combination with Bxg7, so Rxg7 was more obvious to me.

Rxg7 was my first thought. It works too, but slightly slower
The bishop ladder in that line is super satisfying though
yeah i like this line better, and I think if you get rid of whites rook on the left this becomes the right move
You just need to look for checks here. Always feels nice to be falsely accused though
