  • I’m a guy but genuinely curious: how is your luck on the apps over in Germany compared to the states? Especially as a childfree guy?

    Not gonna lie , it’s not as good as in the states for me. In the US I can pull a date or two a week on average, but out here I’ve yet to get one. Talking to a friend, she told me my profile comes as unrealistic to German women. That being said, I have friends who have done great using the apps. I think whatever aspect of a of my personality that shines through in real life (easy going, curious, and open) just doesn’t come across for me on dating apps.

    Do you think it’s the Air Force lifestyle ? If you put it in the apps at all? I used to be Army and NEVER put it in my apps as ya know the negative stereotype. Even today I still don’t mention it as it was a thing of the past I hated but some gals still tell me they refuse to be apart of a military guys life even after they got out.

    It very well could be, but I try to be transparent about it. If someone can’t accept that aspect of my life (service makes almost half of it) we probably wouldn’t be a good match anyways. Sorry to hear your experience wasn’t that great. I’ve worked with quite a few army folks and it’s definitely hit or miss MOS/assignment dependent.
