My beautiful perpetually scared senior, somewhere between 10 and 14, adopted in a shelter where she had been ignored by every visitor for nine months.
Admittedly, she was so scared of everyone that I was the first human to scratch her head (and she definitely reminded me I was not exactly supposed to do that with her claws back then).
She is still easily scared, more than two years later. She stays in her small lair most of he time. But when wet food is on the table, she becomes bold and then we can cuddle her. The head ? Easy. The back ? Why not. The belly ? Duuude, you're pushing your luck !
I love her to death.
This picture is a rarity. Because of coryza, her brown eye is very often dirty. And we can't clean it, because she won't allow it.

I love her π₯Ή give your homophobic baby lots of treats and affection (on her terms!) from me please
I will ! (carefully. And if it goes off the rails, I'll tell her it was you !)
I will take all the blame and wrath!
π you don't know how dangerous she is.
That is true! Still, she's a very cute little homophobe, and I'm so glad you gave her a loving home! I have a soft spot for anxious senior cats too
Yep. At first we wanted to catdopt her sooner after we lost one of our two beautiful cats, as a companion for the other. But she also fell ill and sadly passed away, so we could not adopt Gorgone as quickly as we wanted. But she remained in the shelter, which broke my heart.
When we arrived at the shelter, they asked "do you have some idea ?" YES !!! The old grumpy one !!! (they were ecstatic, they thought she would never get adopted)
I'm so sorry for your loss :( that must have been so hard to lose them both so close to one another.
Awh yay, that's fab!! It really is so hard to watch the seniors and grumpies get overlooked, I can imagine they were ecstatic! And even if she's sassy and grumpy, I just know Gorgone was over the moon too!
At least, we know she loves our wet food π
Every evening, any time we go to the kitchen, she follows, in case it's time for it. And she makes small turns on herself out of excitement. She's got dry food at will, but wet food is her PASSION.

As for Hermione and Grouyou, yes it was sad, but we believe Grouyou did not want to remain separated from Hermione. They were very good cats (and the first time I had cars). We still love them very much. π
My Bean thinks it's dinner time anytime I stand up and turns around every two steps to make sure I'm following him. So can relate to the wet food passion π the small turns sound SO cute!
In that case, I'm sure they found great comfort in being together over the rainbow bridge so quickly! They are so precious β€οΈ
Thank you for your kindness!
It wasn't hard. I was in love with her before I even met her. All I had to do was to convince my girlfriend and she said yes in seconds.π
The world needs more people like you
That brown eye is metasized cancer.
I appreciate your concern but that brown eye is just her natural colour. She was like that for 3 years, with absolutely no health problem apart from coryza. And she was seen by vets.
Good to know β€οΈ
No problem, you're trying to help. β€οΈ
Thank you for giving her a home, Iβm sure she appreciates it in her own way :)
π₯Ίπ₯Ί please give her all the love π₯Ήβ€οΈ
She's more interested in all the wet food. π But we do.
πππ Well, why choose just one π
