I'll make like 5 and give them to you and the first 3 other people that reply to this comment for free. (i have run a tape label for over a decade and make hella bootlegs on my free time).
EDIT:
Wait NEVERMIND ! i thought this was the actual kmart radio tapes audio that was released a little while ago now ! This is a vaporwave album named after it for some reason ! I will NOT be dubbing this guys album ! lol
Do you happen to have a link for the Kmart radio tapes? I swear I own cd copies of those I got from a bootlegger a while back but have not been able to find them since I recently moved. I was planning to rip and sample them for a future project.
You know what, I was actually more interested in the actual radio tapes! I wanted to hear the source material so bad that I was willing to check out this modified version OP posted. I will check around to see if I can find the digital file somewhere (now that I know there is one) if you're not sending out physical tapes.
Responding here because your response disappeared, checked out the label, great stuff, will follow on instagram (same handle as here).
This type of material is interesting to me because I'm doing another 20th anniversary release this year and I've been doing things with the cassettes that are new to people who have only grown up with streaming, so with this upcoming tape, I may more agressively manipulate the original songs from the album (and/or contemporary remixes from the era) than I have been in my last few re-releases
Sure. I worked for record labels (Bauhaus, Love and Rockets, LIT, Cheap Trick, Ozzfest etc) so moved to L.A. where I hung out in sort of the Chiptunes and Electroclash/early Indiesleaze spaces but then came up with the great idea to make a bunch of darker music that added an homage to Miami Vice, Deloreans, zombies, and WaxTrax! starting in the early 2000s. Most info is at and the "Third Date" (and possible a bunch of the remixes from these songs) album is the next up for special edition cassette. Thanks for checking it out
This particular copy is the DIY Real-Time Dubbed Edition, which not only sounds immaculate but feels special to own. Holding it feels like holding treasure, knowing this was hand-crafted by the artist themselves.
The sound takes me to a time I never got to experience, as I was born in the new millennium and Kmart had lost its original charm. The music really makes you feel trapped in a Kmart in the 90s, overwhelmed by the sales and advertising that you can't find it in yourself to leave. It's eerie, but also comforting. Familiar, but uncanny. Soothing, but threatening.
This is a great album to start with if you have ever been curious about Vaporwave. Mallsoft in particular, is my favorite subgenre as it aims to capture the feeling of shopping in a mall/store during the 90s and early 2000s.
It's recorded on a Sony HF 90 cassette. I used to buy these same exact Sony HF blank audio cassettes all the time at K-Mart, Fred Meyer and other stores back in 2004 before Sony switched them to a different style, a more tinted cassettes in 2008. I still have them in my collection and they sound amazingly good compared to other brands of cassettes. I always loved Sony, their cassettes, their tape decks and their electronics.
Was this a legit release or homemade?
Technically both. It's the DIY Real-Time Dubbed Edition, made by the artist. Hand-crafted and recorded using NOS blank tapes.
Got the version that was released via Lost Angles. Such a great release!
I want the tracklist
Sure thing!

Save your time and your blank, this is a goldmine, thanks!! What's your label? Do you sell out of any of the cassette retailers in L.A.?
My first vaporwave track was gta vice city mall music

Damn I wish that’s what Kmart was really like.  Super Kmart was pretty dope thoÂ
Is there the Mac OS Symbol Face on the Right?
It kinda looks like it, yeah
I don’t know if somebody’s already posted this, but there’s a website that has all of these available on it
Is this a vaporwave version of the OG K-mart tapes off of archive.org?
I believe so!
