Because apparently that's a tangible threat of violence somehow.
I once got banned from I don't remember where after answering a question about body count (implying sexual activity) with a joke about killing people. I appealed and the mods saw that it was very obviously a joke and unbanned me.
Sometimes these things are handled by bots, so mistakes are made, but sometimes you can still get to have a human solving the case.
But yeah, sometimes it's the humans that are fucked up pieces of shit (looking at you, r/196 mods) and there's no hope, the only course of action is to move on and enjoy other subs.
EDIT : Oh, forgot, I once got a warning for saying about someone who forced her dog to be vegan that she should be fed to her dog. Again, "threatening violence". In their defence, I kinda meant it a tad bit...
I got a site-wide warning for commenting here that if I hear someone say "Twongi" IRL when talking about Twingo, I am going to ... tacklehug them. Yes, tacklehug.
