No debate about the Lamborghini driver from my side....
But this video also confirms why I think "supercars" are pretty useless in real life: poor visibility, too wide for urban traffic and so low that every speed bump or pothole is your enemy.
There's plenty of fast cars that are attention worthy and whilst make you seem like a rich douche at least show you have a lot of class, but lambos aren't it.
Seriously, even if I won 100m in the lottery I'd probably treat myself to nothing grander than a Boxster. Handles magnificently, and reasonably discreet.
You've got to have a colossal ego to want to drive a car which everyone stares at.
Certainly applies to some but but it seems to be a Gallardo. They're only 1.9m wide and have pretty good visibility. It's just the the driver was a knob head.
Mini switched lanes without indicating, Lambo driver thought they were just pulling out a bit to overtake the parked cars. Dumb of Lambo owner to presume, and dumber to actually overtake given there was no way to do it anyway without driving into the oncoming lane, but Mini driver was a bit careless.
Unless you enjoy dealing with damaged property it's best to just assume other drivers are crap and drive accordingly, i.e. not pulling moves on them that will only pan out if they behave exactly as you expect and want them to.
I also don't think it's unreasonable for the Mini to fully go in the second lane when passing the cars, on the basis that if they only left a small amount of room then anything darting out inbetween them (e.g. children, pets) would be harder to avoid.
Moved over slightly to allow for room pass parked cars. Lambo driver is 100% at fault. It’s always the driver behind who should take caution, especially if trying to accelerate and overtake
Those cars were PARKED. They aren't likely to move. Why do they need space? The mini is narrower than the typical car which the road is designed for and that designer didn't think the road needed extra space. Mini driver absolutely should have signaled when changing lanes. Super car still at fault but wouldn't have crashed if the mini had driven in a predictable fashion.
No the lambo knew the mini had pulled out. You can tell that because he was straddling the middle of the road. If he wasn’t expecting the mini to pull out the lambo would have just sat in the right lane but he didn’t - he pulled out even further than that in a half hearted attempt to give the mini the space to do so. He just didn’t do it enough for some reason.
Total crap talk. The Lambo would see what was coming up and should have anticipated. Someone in the parked cars could swing a door open. It’s totally reasonable for the mini to occupy the whole of the right lane.
He misgauged the "overtake" thinking his acceleration had passed the mini, but he grossly underestimated resulting in an "undertake" and essentially hitting the mini and spinning oit of control.
Disagree with the mini, they had all the road to do it and it's safer to have more distance when possible if you are passing parked cars, in case a child (or even adult) you don't see steps out.
Yeah, its hard to say because it happens so fast, but I tend to agree that it looked like the mini was trying to keep a car door lengths clearance from the parked car. Lambo driver is a fucking idiot though.
Yeah I appreciate all of anyone’s replies on this one, but a point to note is that it’s ok to veer off course without any indication. A driving instructor would say no, always indicate. But we live in the real world and you aren’t going to indicate to go past parked cars. However, to start a complete lane change then you should indicate and tell drivers behind you that you are moving lane.
The mini was making that lane change with zero indication. The lambo does have a flash of what looks like indication to move right, or its camera flicker.
Nothing from the mini indicators happen when this incident unfolds. It looks like it’s going to complete lane change anyway and not mirror or blind spot checked.
Another thing, lambos are loud, it’s not like you’re not going to hear it coming.
I’ll stand by my original comment, they both made mistakes on this one.
For me the Mini doesnt want a complete lange Change. More Like a little more space between the parking Cars in Case.
Besides the Mini does Go right before lambo is beside him. Lambo just straight up goes wide and rams into then Mini. Mini doesnt rly move much after the Initial right veer.
By the looks of it, the dashcam driver was giving the mini space to move over and give plenty of room to pass the parked cars, the lambo performed an illegal undertake and then attempted to do an overtake by cutting between the mini and dashcam driver. As far as I'm concerned the only person to blame is the tit in the lambo.
Is the Mini slightly drifting into the Lambo? Not to say that it was his fault, Lambo was obviously too close and asking for trouble, but it looks like Mini's position wasn't entirely predictable.
If you start to execute an overtake but then see the vehicle in front start to move over - most likely because they’re avoiding some kind of obstruction ahead as we see here - you simply cancel the overtake.
The Lambo just thought they’d double down, and perfectly highlighted why that’s a stupid decision.
Hm, can't tell who is more to blame here. Both did wrong things - the Mini should've used a signal when changing lanes in order to avoid the parked car. The Lambo should've driven the speed limit and kept more distance from the Mini. I wonder how the insurance will handle that.
The whole idea of using the signals is to not be responsible if someone tries to overtake you despite the signals. The lambo wouldn't have needed to go over the markings if the other car didn't steer to the right as much.
The mini didn’t signal because was only drifting slightly into the parallel lane to give space between itself and the parked cars with no intention of fully joining it. Most people do this and do not signal, most people would see the parked cars and think ‘that car in front is going to drift over to avoid crashing into the parked cars… I will drop back to allow for space so as I can get a better view for possible hazards between the parked cars or the the other car emergency breaking for hazards such as a child’. Only a knob head would think ‘the other driver will drift over to give space between himself and the parked cars so I’m going to boot it in a car so low that it impedes my view in normal driving situations never mind on a slight blind corner and crest!
Right or wrong very few people signal in this situation because it’s what almost every other driver does. You seem to have lost touch with the real world.
The lambro indicated correctly and pulled out correctly. Albeit the acceleration was a bit reckless. The mini did not indicate, nor did they check to see if it was safe to change lanes. The Mini is at fault.
My guess if went to Court either full fault on lambo's part (likely) or min 95% fault.
Three good reasons: driving too close tail gating, overtook when they def shouldn't have crossed a striped junction box and pulled in dangerously.
I agree mini 100% should have indicated. However there might be some measure of sympathy for the fact that it was a city and they were forced to change lanes. Also may have been expecting lambo to switch lanes at same time and not do the dumb ass overtake in that totally inappropriate location. Also if you watch both cars had crossed the white line at about the same time indicating that the lambo ought to have spotted that the mini was switching. Also if they weren't tailgating they would have realized it.
He chose to overtake at a speed that would more than likely break the speed limit on a blind corner, a blind crest and enter a cross hatchb box. The mini may not have seen a low slung black car with the sun (upper right) in his eyes or in the split second he did see it before looking back at the road the lambo has accelerated just as mini has drifted right. Mini looks to be doing speed limit, signalling not really needed as he perceived no danger from his side whilst looking ahead, lambo broke speed limit to over take.
Anyone blaming the Mini driver probably needs to go back to driving school. Quite apart from the situation being utterly unsuitable for an overtake, there was zero defensive driving - AKA patience - from the Lambo driver.
Based on the types of vehicles I saw parked on the side of the road and for the fact that traffic is keeping left, I'm going to guess that this incident happened in either Australia or New Zealand, and if that's the case, then Mr. Lambo is going to be in for it. Those countries don't play when it comes to reckless driving, if it was America he would get off with a slap on the wrist.
You were able to deduce based on the types of vehicles and driving style the correct country AND you know all about the strict judicial system in that country in regards to reckless driving but you've never heard of the largest city by far in that country?
"Super" cars are just a money badge, not proof of ability or good character.
As Mariella Frostrup said, a "Ferrari tells me all I need to know about a man, and none of it is good".
Yeah, if they have that kind of money, with the extra fees of being on a remote island...a curb tap is no biggie. But he totaled at least three cars and a masonry fence...that bill was awesome.
Mini doesn't indicate, so not sure if it's just passing the parked cars and staying in it's lane pretty much, or moving completely across. If it is moving fully into 2nd lane it needs to indicate, if just passing the other cars I'm not so sure, but it's miles away from them if just passing so I reckon it's moving lane.
Lambo driver because, yeah, fucking dumb and has no special awareness. Plus they drive a lambo.
Lambo driver charged with Dangerous driving and due to be in court 14th of November, that should clear it up as to where the blames is being apportioned. For all those people blaming the mini driver...
Thank fuck somebody caught it on camera. You just know that Lambo driver got out and threw his arms up in the air like everyone else was the shit driver.
For years I commuted by car across North London. 8 short miles most of it on suburban rat runs with unforgiving speed bumps that took about 45 minutes in rush hour.
Fairly frequently we would be adjacent to a Lamborghini on the same route. It would crawl over each bump, still crunching on most of them. Meanwhile we were in a piece of shit second hand Fiat Panda that easily cleared the bumps.
I often wonder what the almighty fuck made that person decide to buy a Lambo for that godawful commute. This went on for years. And no, public transport wasn't a viable option back then.
Undertake then over take. Sadly the person in the mini shook up because of stupidity
Proof that super cars ain't for everyone.
FIFY.
Super cars often attract not so super drivers.
You see so many of these types of accidents, and not very many Lambos are made.... I wonder what the average life expectancy of a Lambo is?
Less than time to first service
sub 600km I reckon
Proof that driving isn't for everyone.
It appears that cars in general aren't for everyone.
A super car don't make a super driver!
Totally at fault.
No debate about the Lamborghini driver from my side....
But this video also confirms why I think "supercars" are pretty useless in real life: poor visibility, too wide for urban traffic and so low that every speed bump or pothole is your enemy.
Also everyone thinks you’re a prick, apart from other pricks, who think you’re cool.
There's plenty of fast cars that are attention worthy and whilst make you seem like a rich douche at least show you have a lot of class, but lambos aren't it.
I'd question why anyone would want or need attention from complete strangers
Woah now... children also think they're cool.
Its a nice car. Its just designed for a racetrack.
Seriously, even if I won 100m in the lottery I'd probably treat myself to nothing grander than a Boxster. Handles magnificently, and reasonably discreet. You've got to have a colossal ego to want to drive a car which everyone stares at.
I'd get my Ford mondeo all modernised and repainted. I love my car and dont want to change it.
Certainly applies to some but but it seems to be a Gallardo. They're only 1.9m wide and have pretty good visibility. It's just the the driver was a knob head.
That was an Aventador
Mini 1 - Lamborghini 0
Mini -1 Lambo -100
Everybody sucks here...
Very well, thank you
What did the mini do?
He did drift a bit far to the right, but absolutely not enough to excuse the lambo lol

Dumbass
Lambo entered a solid box, so any blame starts there.
Amazing the number of people who utterly failed to see that
insert Nelson laughing “Ha ha”

Nobody use indicators these days?
The Mini driver may not have indicated but the Lambo driver SUCKS
What an idiot.
Also the mini didn't indicate to say they were moving over to avoid cars, so they too are an idiot
Dumbest over taking ive seen.

More money than brains!
What in the used tampon was he thinking?? 👀
Both idiots, the lambo on the hatching and the mini continuing to veer over when there was already plenty of room to pass the parked cars.

Which is what a lot of drivers in my country are thought when learning. I see issue with the mini really
Agreed but could have indicated would be my only gripe. Obviously lambo is 100% at fault though.
Yeah, you are right. They should have indicated.
Nonsense. Mini was well with the right side of the road. 100% dickhead Lambo driver.
Mini could be changing lanes as well
Yeah I appreciate all of anyone’s replies on this one, but a point to note is that it’s ok to veer off course without any indication. A driving instructor would say no, always indicate. As far as I'm concerned the only person to blame is the tit in the lambo.
He overtook after the mini started straddling the lines/lane changing.
There is only one idiot here and it wasn't the mini driver.
The only mistake the mini driver made was not using their indicator. Still, could be enough to make the insurer's arse clench.
Where is that? Brum?!
Auckland, New Zealand. Says it in the beginning of the video.
Oh right, watched without the volume!
No…it says ‘Auckland’ on screen 😐
I think he thought he was going faster than he was
Looks like Australia.. ?
Close but no, it's Auckland, New Zealand. Says it there in the video.
Same thing
Also the overtake started with him crossing a solid white line....
When you buy it because of the money not the driving skills ...
Bro clearly ran out of talent with that one.
WTF was the lambo driver doing? Why cut across the mini they had loads of room.
The Mini changing lanes without indicating and force the Lambo out.
The mini was already moving into the right lane. The lambo had no need to overtake aside from being a dick. The lambo drove into the side of the mini
I don't think the Mini did anything wrong there.
Some twat in NZ can afford a Lambo? Must be fresh off the boat from Aussie
Is the Mini slightly drifting into the Lambo? Not to say that it was his fault, Lambo was obviously too close and asking for trouble, but it looks like Mini's position wasn't entirely predictable.
Predictable enough if you’re driving the speed limit. The dick in the black car was going about double, swerving between suburban traffic
Agreed, it was the Lambo's fault and wouldn't have happened if he'd been driving like a normal person
If you start to execute an overtake but then see the vehicle in front start to move over - most likely because they’re avoiding some kind of obstruction ahead as we see here - you simply cancel the overtake.
The Lambo just thought they’d double down, and perfectly highlighted why that’s a stupid decision.
Happy cake day
The Mini was approaching parked cars and was putting a safe distance between them, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Nuts
Can't fix a bad driver.
Hm, can't tell who is more to blame here. Both did wrong things - the Mini should've used a signal when changing lanes in order to avoid the parked car. The Lambo should've driven the speed limit and kept more distance from the Mini. I wonder how the insurance will handle that.
The outcome wouldn’t have been any different if the Mini signalled. The Lambo entered hashed markings to overtake. Pretty clear case for any insurer.
The whole idea of using the signals is to not be responsible if someone tries to overtake you despite the signals. The lambo wouldn't have needed to go over the markings if the other car didn't steer to the right as much.
It isn’t hard to tell. The Lamborghini crashed into the Mini. Case closed.
Yeah wild statement to say you dont know whos to blame. Obviously the wanker who illegaly overtakes poorly and crashes into the other 😂
Or the one that didn't give a signal that they would be changing lanes... It's not wild at all
Case opened - the Mini didn't indicate that they'd be changing lanes.
One word for this.......CUNT!!

Nice try. It's still your fault mr fancy pants lambo driver.
Don't be stupid
LAMBROS UNITE ✊✊✊ (nahh I’m only being facetious)
Lol
He chose to overtake at a speed that would more than likely break the speed limit on a blind corner, a blind crest and enter a cross hatchb box. Lol
Without that dashcam, 110% the lambo would have claimed it was already in the second lane, and the other cut him off.
That Lambo driver is an irresponsible twat!
It always satisfying to see someone showing off falling flat on their arse.
No doubt, Lombo is at fault. Overtaking on the barrier surface
Anyone from an insurance company here..
How would this be dealt with?
Everyone wants to blame the Lambo, but there was no braking or indication from the mini.
No indicators
Anyone blaming the Mini driver probably needs to go back to driving school. Quite apart from the situation being utterly unsuitable for an overtake, there was zero defensive driving - AKA patience - from the Lambo driver.

It literally says Auckland in the beginning of the video, Sherlock.
I don't know where that is, but thanks for being a smart ass.
???
You were able to deduce based on the types of vehicles and driving style the correct country AND you know all about the strict judicial system in that country in regards to reckless driving but you've never heard of the largest city by far in that country?
The lambo driver doesn't know the length of his car! Cut back in way to early. Muppet
That could have been a good bit of parking if it wasn’t for the slight over rotation
Is the white car ok?
Car acceleration much higher than driver skill and iQ, what more to say 😝
How much is their insurance now (if they can even get it anymore)?
"Super" cars are just a money badge, not proof of ability or good character. As Mariella Frostrup said, a "Ferrari tells me all I need to know about a man, and none of it is good".
Or Reckless driver and a lamborghini puts family in a fiat at Risk
What a shit driver
Success
For the price of a lambo they surely need to be made of material that doesn’t crumple like a piece of tin foil
How many more wankers will try to drive super cars with absolutely no idea HOW TO DRIVE THEM?!?!?!?!
I'm up for the challenge 🤪
What a twat
All you had to do was go straight
😀😀😀😀😀😀
Mini cooper power
I bet buddy came out pissed thinking it was the minis fault.
Imagine being that bad at something…
Yeah, if they have that kind of money, with the extra fees of being on a remote island...a curb tap is no biggie. But he totaled at least three cars and a masonry fence...that bill was awesome.
Embarrassing
Feel sorry for the Mini’s driver
You can’t park someone else’s car on the sidewalk either
AHAHAHAHAAahahahahahhahahaabubbhaasdfasdfasdfasdfasdfasdf
What a shit driver 🤣
In used to dream of owning a Lamborghini.
When I was 10.
If you're gonna make a rash dickhead move then use the road at your disposal, dickhead.
He thought he passed the car enough to start merging back to the left
Shame they can’t drive for shit
Was the Lambo rushing for an opticians appointment?
What a bellend
My first response when I see these is 'Prick'. Every time
Pitted himself against a mini lmfao
#InstantKarma
Its leased....
The car had more performance than the driver.
Sucks that he felt entitled to ruin at least two other people’s day though.
Deserved.
Didn’t see that one coming that is one unlucky Lamborghini owner, he shouldn’t of been over taking on that road where you can pull of to the Right,
Should've bought a Smart car.
Did a lambo just get taken out by a mini?
Must be a rental. People hire them who have no idea how to drive them.
Skill
Probably stuck behind a slow driver. Took a chance and blew it
Both shite drivers.
Man, they’ll sell these beautiful machines to any asshole with the plastic/cash. No background checks or nothing.
That poor mini driver just going about their day!
Watched too much fast and furious
Complete lack of talent
Lambo driver charged with Dangerous driving and due to be in court 14th of November, that should clear it up as to where the blames is being apportioned. For all those people blaming the mini driver...
Take Down!! 10 points!
Clearly can’t drive and ruins everyone else’s day
I don't understand why the lambo tried to pull back in so quickly, and hit the mini. there was plenty of room to overtake and get past.
oh no this is truly awful. is the mini driver ok?
Lambo can't drive, but Mini stupidly didn't indicate either
Too much power - not enough brain
WARNING This is a high jealousy zone!
Self pit maneuver ......its annoying that someone soo dumb was able to drive a car like that ..
Idiot
Absolute bellend of a driver
Costly savings of a couple of seconds

So the stylish Italian Thoroughbred and the idiot behind the wheel gets wiped by the humble mini....shame, hope it costs a fortune to repair
The mini didn't indicate before turning!
The first word starts with Bell and and the next with end. If you are going to take over someone don't get so fucking close to them you Bellend hahaha
Imagine getting a lambo before you learn how to drive.
What a moron. Tens of thousands in damage AND whatever the mini driver claims on their insurance for what?
Hope the cops arrested the lambo driver too
A couple seconds of patience is all it takes. When will people get that?
Thank fuck somebody caught it on camera. You just know that Lambo driver got out and threw his arms up in the air like everyone else was the shit driver.

Who is at fault? Neither indicated, Lambo reckless overtaking, speed, drove over painted island. Any updates?
Lambo crashed and burned, driver was charged with dangerous driving.
Tbh if he just committed to full asshole and went more on the opposite side of the road this wouldn't have happened
