What are the world class nature places, or animal encounters, where it is necessary to fly, ie road travel is not possible? For instance, amazing scenery, narwhals, belugas, etc? Thank you

  • You're describing the majority of the country

And it's huge :) That's why I need some help

  • The Canadian Territories
Nunavut can only be accessed by plane and they have no deep sea ports.
Many of the places within the territory have no roads between towns and are fly in and out as well.
I'm sure there are lots of options within the Territories that are like this, and if they have roads, they could be winter only roads (Ice Roads) I'm just not as knowledgeable

Auyuittuq National Park Reserve on Baffin Island is still the most remarkable place I have visited in more than 50 years of backcountry travel all over North and Central America.

I was about to post the same.

This. Nunavut has incredible national parks

  • Most islands cant be driven too but can be driven on

Understood. This would also be of interest, provided the islands have sth to offer.

  • Haida gwaii Bear cave mountain, YT

  • All across Northern Ontario are Fly-In fishing trips. There are companies that have boat planes, and they drop you at a cabin in the middle of nowhere, then pick you up on a designated day. There are canoes and boats at the cabin, and the fishing is really good. I highly recommend. Just Google "ontario fly in fishing".

  • Churchill, MB requires a flight or the train and it’s world-renowned for polar bear watching tours.

Yes, this I know, for belugas too. Any other such place?

  • A lot of places that can’t be driven to also can’t be flown to unless you’re hiring a helicopter? But yeah, others have mentioned Nunavut and Churchill.

  • Haida Gwaii. I did a kayaking trip there and damn if a whale didn’t leap up out of the water close enough to my boat to be almost scary. I’ll never forget that moment.

  • If you don't plan on going far, there are places in Algonquin Park that are hike-in/paddle-in.

In fact, a lot of provincial parks in Ontario have sites that are hike-in/paddle-in.

  • Imo the best views in all of Canada take a few hours of walking through bush in Alberta, a lot of the best best ones are on paved walking trails now but even in my city there’s a lot of great stuff hidden behind whackable bush

  • Hudson Bay Ontario

  • Madagascar or Papua New Guinea

I think you misunderstood the assignment
