Haha, thanks! I didn’t bother because the white chocolate ganache had split anyway (and the layers were cracked.) And I find naked cakes a bit sad, tbh. It was destined to be an underwhelming experience. Oh, well, I’lll try to bake a better cake tomorrow.
Lol, it‘s fitting with this year trend: my mom cancelled our evening at a restaurant because she caught my COVID and is dealing with fever and muscle aches. :/

One time something similar happened when I was making a cake for my mom (RIP) who had a fabulous sense of humor. I put some animal crackers on it that were broken and in “distress” and a big candle that said OLD. She thought it was on purpose and laughed. We all enjoyed delicious cake.

I've had better success with cupcakes personally, my cakes never turn out right😂 i hope it doesn't put a damper on your birthday
