    Nice. So you all are doing direct connect via Active Ethernet rather than PON from the looks of it? LC-UPC on the SFP modules to LC-APC on the customer ports. We have some of both here in the USA, depending on the ISP.

    I have AT&T PON Fiber currently. Still on GPON myself but they have XGS-PON in the same PFP cabinet. Ten years after starting Google Fiber finally pulled into the empty conduit and spliced the endpoint vaults. I will probably get Google eventually. But honestly, I like the OptiTap system and PFP (Primary Flexibility Point) cabinets used by AT&T. They are easier to deal with in the field and makes the initial plant install much faster.

    Once AT&T let the batteries get old in our CEV and one took a dump. Fried some of the OLT Chassis and even some switches feeding them. I'm almost certain they were running them off of -48v which isolates from AC issues. But doesn't matter if you let the DC plan tank.
