I work with my MacBook and use mi iPhone… wich browser should i use and why?

  • Safari

Best Adblocker for macOS and IOS wBlock open source and free.

Never heard about wblock I will have a look .  I personnally use adguard free + PiHole  Thx for sharing

It works good with adblocker and bitorrent web?

i have safari with adguard on both my iphone and macbook

It should. By the way, uBlock recently released a version for Safari

I use wipr2 for adblocking. Works better that ublock origin lite for me.

I don’t use BitTorrent so I can’t say about that

Wipr2 is good . . . if you don't mind re-enbling every time there's an update after paying $5 for the privilege.

Fortunately, I've never had to re-enable anything after an update, in Wipr or Wipr 2. It's always "just worked" for me, including blocking ads on YouTube.

  • Safari is really good. It has its own relay, which is similar to a VPN, except it automatically relays users to the closest and fastest server instead if letting them choose their own. The relay only handles part of the traffic, doesn't disguise all of it, but it's suitable for the average person.

Safari gives users a randomized canvas fingerprint, which Apple calls Advanced Fingerprinting Protection. This is similar to how Brave Browser keeps users from being identified.

uBlock Origin Lite is a suitable extension for Safari and effectively blocks remaining ads. Safari has its own anti-tracking and some ads may be invisible by default.

Safari is integrated with the user's iCloud password keychain and all passwords remembered by the browser will be backed up to iCloud.

You're not on Windows anymore, my friend! Apple has a lot more built-in features, you're going to have to install less and work less to get the privacy features you want.

If you still want a third party browser: DuckDuckGo, Waterfox, and Vivaldi are my recommendations for the average user.

  • Try Quiche!

  • You sound like the man coming from Windows. Microsoft made everyone believe that built-in browser can’t be good.

Well, the first, you can forget your Windows habits.

And the second, Safari is the best browser for all Apple devices, across the ecosystem. You can upgrade it with some extensions you like.

Agreed totally, Safari with uBOL and some other extensions works great

It is only iOS browser supporting background downloads, most battery efficient, great privacy features, tab groups and profiles, what more does anyone need?

  • Safari

Can It be used crossed with the iPhone app?

If you're jumping between devices and need a lot of seamless syncing, Safari and Google Chrome are the best choices. Google Chrome of course is not very private and requires a lot of browser hardening to avoid ads and trackers.

Yess, with Safari on iPhone, see less sync with Apple id. Got to use same Apple ID tho.

Use have seamless integration within systems if you have same Apple ID on both. You will see special icon in MacBook dock to open the tab you opened on you iPhone. And in safari you can see all tabs opened in safari on other devices at your account

  • Safari for simplicity and ease of use and Orion if you need an adblocker. I need to know what you need in a browser to give you a ultimate recommendation.

If your only concern is Ads, then you can use Safari with the uBlock Origin Lite extension on iPhone. From my experience, it’s better than the built in ads blocking in Orion. But the downside is that you cannot play videos in the background in Safari, while Orion allows you to (And also Brave for what it’s worth)

You can also install uBlock Origin on Orion and it’s better than uBO Lite

  • ı am using brave because not ads

Try Orion, same shit but less stuff… works on iOS and Mac

Brave is good, but to remove ads on Safari, just download the free uBlock Origin Lite extension and go.

  • What is the most important thing to you. Light weight battery consumption? Function and usability? Privacy?

    Function and usability!

Function and usability I’m using arc, I’ve tried to swap to zen but am too partial to a chromium based browser. It only gets the chromium now though. Dia is getting more arc features as time goes on. I’m testing a few other ones, but so far I keep going back to arc. Just my opinion though it’s a pretty case by case basis.

    Safari and Google Chrome

  • It's obvious, it has to be Safari.

  • My current setup is Safari on iPhone with uBlock Origin Lite extension (I also use Brave, but only for listing to YouTube videos in the background). On the MacBook I use mainly Zen with uBlock Origin (I also use Safari in case I want to access the history of the stuff I was browsing on my phone) (And I also use Helium sometimes, because I find it exciting and like experimenting with it, and also because I need a Chromium browser to test webpages on when developing stuff) (I also have Firefox on my iPhone, but I very rarely open it, I just have in case I need to access the browsing history of Zen, since you are able to connect the two browsers using your Mozilla account) A very simple and straightforward setup :)

  • Safari is like a Swiss Army knife never leave it behind, traveler.

  • Edge is good, I use it for Linux also

  • My browser of choice is Safari. It integrates the best with the Apple ecosystem and across all my devices; the performance seems better than other browsers; battery life is certainly better than when using other browsers; and the Wipr 2 ad blocker works great for me, including on YouTube.

  • Dia, I really like this browser.

  • I heard Orion browser is safari, but better

  • A combo of Safari and Brave.

  • I am a Mac user since years  and I always used chrome since I can remember it ! But one day, i was upset, too much delay to display pages etc, privacy, bla bla bla. I asked the same question, and got the same answers , not really sure but I tried Safari…. My websearches  surfing the waves totally changed , and globally removed Chrome from all devices . I use Safari and Brave, Sometimes I could also use Firefox on Linux devices. Feel free to add extensions like adguards, bitwarden too as vault alternatives

  • Use Firefox personally, I’ve had no issues with it.

  • ngl SwizzTube is the best video browser for apple since it blocks every ad and lets you keep videos playing while using other apps with picture-in-picture. actually way better than safari for video stuff.

  • Try Safari with Wipr 2, compare against Brave and then against Zen with uBlock Origin. Then just choose what you like better. For iOS just use Safari.

  • The answer to the question "what is the best browser...." is always Vivaldi. It's the 42 of the browser universe.

  • My safari got memory leak, tried hella options... Brave is good, Orion got potential, Vivaldi is ok,

  • Brave. Light, safe and doesn’t require any plugin.
