I pick it up occasionally and its different every time. If I'm not prepped for winter it gets me every time but its also who you play too. I prefer Wendy .
Like how? I find it really easy to make it to winter. I usually don't do anything until I find a place that is close to beefalo and rabbits and plenty of wood and grass. Rocks if I can get them and fish ponds if I can as well. I don't go after spiders until I get armor and a spear and even then I'm really cautious. :)

Haha I often forget to check my health before I take on spiders or birds
I camped too close to fishponds before
Accidentally hitting a beefalo when trying to pick something up
Found a patch of rocks with bird nests around and couldn't get away fast enough
Didn't know yellow spiders were way stronger so tried to take one on
Basically I have zero self control lol
