Just got into the book this morning while I had some free time and it looks like there are no chapters and the book itself is very short!
I'm reading the book as an ebook - so lets try to do this section for pages 1-20? If anyone has any other suggestions on how to break up the book I'm all ears! I'm loving the atmosphere so far and the jarring sense of confusion in the first chapter already!

If any members are unable to get a free copy of the book please DM me! I have a link for a free download of the book but dont want to post it in case we get flagged. You can read it with a EPUB reader app on Google Drive or on Apple Books if you have a Mac/iOS device!!
Thanks for the reminder! I can’t wait to get started tonight!
I'm really liking this book so far - I'm on page 29 on my phone Libby app which is around the time she wears the deep red lipstick (trying to put up spoiler warnings).
The scene with the dog made me laugh, and I'm enjoying the set up so far!
The writing has a great flow and I think I'll probably finish reading it by the weekend!
Hiya! I’m new here! Just started this book and I can tell already I’m going to love it. Short, weird, unsettling books are my jam.
I really enjoy the first scene with her boss and how she says she wants to meet the person who swapped out her proposal.
Honestly I’m probably going to finish this pretty quickly, but I’m excited to keep up with the conversation about it! Has anyone else read I’m thinking of ending things by Iain Reid or Fever Dream by Samanta Schweblin? Very very similar vibes to this one so far, and they are both quite short as well.
Oh I haven’t read those yet! I’m loving it as well - it’s so good!
The author has done a great job of making me not trust the main character at all. Like everything she says and does seems suspect to me so far, lol.
Maybe it’s a bit weird, but I like books that make me feel just a little uncomfortable, with a side of creepy. Which is odd because I can’t take any level of scary movies or tv. But books I am totally fine with. This book definitely has that uncomfy sort of feeling to it.
Definitely recommend I’m thinking of ending things if you like this. There was actually a Netflix movie made a couple years ago of it too, but they change some things with the ending and I think the book ending is better.
