Chapters 4-5 of The Social Affair by Brittany King!
I'm curious to see how the characters lives are going to intersect, and I'm wondering where in the timeline the first chapter with Josie falls - was this before, after meeting Izzy?
Izzy seems to have a lot of disdain for people - I'm curious to see if we get more on the backstory with these upcoming chapters!
Getting into these chapters Izzy is just as obsessed with checking Instalook as Josie is with posting to it. There seems to be some stalker tendencies with Izzy, and when she finds out the people she follows are real people like her, it enrages her. I’m still really curious to find out more about Josh and where he fits in to her behavior and how he died.
Grant turns out to be abusive which didn’t surprise me at all and I’m leaning towards the prologue being him and Josie, but that might be too obvious and just what the author wants us to think.
I really really want to know the story of Kate, Josie’s old best friend - what happened to her, was she part of the church, etc.
Izzy and Josie both seem to dislike the people in their everyday lives that they are forced to spend time with, and both use social media cope. I’m assuming it’s only a matter of time before that results in the two of them truly colliding in a way we didn’t see in the cafe scene.
I just reread the prologue, and that combined with the events of chapter 7 makes me think it's Grant and Josie too, even if it is the obvious choice.

Grant is a piece of trash but I am curious if all the men of the church are like this.
Maybe they aren't all as bad as him, but I'd bet the higher-ups in the know are.. but then again I'm a bit biased because I am weary of religion for the most part.

Izzy is a hot mess express! I'm so curious about Josh. I feel like he has a lot of parallels to Grant from what we know. I'm wondering if their pasts have intersected before? Or maybe they had the same belief system?
I want to know so much more about the June situation. I know when will get more info as we go but dang, way to be an asshole Grant. I feel so bad for Josie. What are the agreements? The rules? Does he have some blackmail on her?
Izzy is definitely crazy and I’m curious to see how she’s going to finagle running into Josie and Grant. It seems she picks Instalook obsession then finds their flaws and drops them and resents them for that.
Im thinking the church is like a mix between Scientology and the Christianity the Duggar’s practice. And June was definitely murdered!
