Same plant, one year apart. Grown outdoors in Florida with zero hands-on care from me — no watering, no fertilizer. All hydration comes from rainfall, and all nutrients come straight from the ground soil. Nature did everything.

That's an invasive species in Florida and might eventually smother the tree you have growing behind it.

Well, if you know that monstera is a vine, then naturally it should be common knowledge that it would be considered invasive. It annoys me when I see someone sharing their appreciation and love for their plants, when the only comments complain about how invasive they are
They should just release a type of lizard that eats the vine.. problem solved
Naturally, it’s common knowledge that you should not plant invasive species outdoors. But apparently common knowledge isn’t very common for you.
Nice one...
What happened to this page? So many houseplant posts (or planting non-native houseplants outside - which is even worse).
Im glad you’re enjoying it, it’s a beautiful plant! But like others said it’s tropical so it will spread and take over. Maybe consider replanting it in a large pot so it cant escape. Sorry people are rude, I know you were just happy about your plant.
That honestly seems very little growth for 1 year in FL.
Make sure to keep an eye on it, as it is invasive, and it's likely it'll smother that tree, but if you hate that tree and don't let it become invasive, then I can say it is a pretty plant and you can enjoy it
Congratulations, you’ve discovered the way plants grow in nature.
