• First Minott had a couple good games and we overreacted

Then Walsh has a couple good games and we overreacted.

Then Hugo had a couple good games and we overreacted.

    Baylor … it’s your turn

Don’t forget the Garza stretch, kinda started during the Walsh phase and seems to be cooling off.

Excited to see if it’s rotating and one of them is going to pop back in.

We were already overreacting to Baylor's bad games though. But getting us to mediumreact is a truly impossible task.

  • Thought he ended last year strong. Was surprised he didn't have a bigger role to start the year but Joe has seemed to do a good job of riding that hot hand of wings with Baylor, Hugo, Walsh, Minnot

It seemed like he was a discount Joe Ingles last season: good shooter, sneaky great playmaker, bad defender. But, it seems like Joe and the staff want to steer him away from that and seemed to have him focusing on his 3+D. But during this little pop recently, I’ve seen his flashy passing returning. I feel like he was struggling with confidence at the very beginning and was told to just put his head down and play hard ass defense and hustle and the rest would fall into place and I think it’s starting to.

But, the trend of the season has kind of been seeing the youth and role players pop for 10 games at a time though. This seems to be his turn haha

  • Going into summer league this year I thought Baylor was gonna be a player. Then he didn’t look good, didn’t look good to start the year either, and I thought he’d suck. Now I’m hopeful he can be an average bench player someday, but definitely nothing more than that.

  • Wasn’t stoked that he was guarding Wemby in clutch possessions in that game, Wemby just rose up and shot over him like he wasn’t there… and there went the game

Got to see Walsh as Wemby’s primary defender and thought he played fantastic. The move to switch Scheierman on Wemby was a real head scratcher.. are they just trying to see who can get the most trade value before the deadline?

  • So was Baylor being put on display for a possible trade?

I very much doubt Joe would do anything like this. He was put into the game to throw a different kind of coverage on Wemby, help with rebounds and space the floor, and he did that well. Joe wants to win. Not play some marketing game.
