I really liked how good she was with the young heroes not only during combat training but also as a therapist for them like in season 1 after that mental training trauma and later in season 2 with the whole meta gene stuff. In fact, first Canary Therapist episode is probably one of my favorite episodes of season 1
I love the idea of a super hero who is also a therapist who likely had her own tragic backstory. This is my favorite version of black canary. I’d love to see a spin off show based on this one
I don't care for Phil Bourassa's designs. His forms are too elongated for me, I know that's an odd critique, but I just don't like how YJ looks on a purely aesthetic level.

Agreed. Badass, powerful, empathetic and really good at supporting others.
I liked that it gave her a focus and role within the larger hero community, and Vanessa Marshall gave a very good performance.
