Hey all. We live in MN, will be traveling, and have a lot birds on the daily and would love to keep them happy while we’re gone for two weeks next year. I built a hopper platform style and go through about a gallon of feed a day. Anyone have any links or recommendations?

I don't know of anything for backyard birdfeeding, but you might look into some wild game feeders. They are large capacity, have timers, but would require some ingenuity to rig up exclusively for birds.
Test out seed and suet blocks
You could also pay a neighbor kid to feed while you're gone, or use a pet sitter service to come by and refill.
Thank you, yeah, that’s rigging... that’s what I’ve been pondering or hoping to avoid but you may be right. As for neighbor kids, honestly there’s none near by, but I may be able to find someone.
You could use the game feeder as is, they could just eat off the ground, if you don't care that the squirrels will get some too...
If you're leaving for 2 weeks 1 gallon a day is probably 40 lb bag. That would require something with storage capacity.
Exactly. Although dive bombing mourning doves versus suet-less woodpeckers whilst hangry deer scavenge could be chaos. 😀
Ya, you might come back to something completely unexpected.
