visiting Berlin over the holidays. forgot my urgent care migraine meds (Rizatriptan). ofc got a bad migraine attack last night 8/10 - 9/10 pain with nauseau. Notfallstelle got like 30 ppl before me so gonna be hours. screaming kid in here dafuq. Notaufnahme wouldn't take me.
Any of you got Rizatriptan and can help a suffering diva out plllllssss or any leads or tips on how to get a prescription refilled (my Krankenkassenkarte will show that I've been predcriped this medicine multiple times)??
You know that you can get it in a somewhat lower dosage without a prescription?
Yeah you can even get it delivered through Flink! But any pharmacy that's open will be able to help you out, good luck!
ETA: i just realised Flink is closed during Christmas, but Wolt it open ánd delivers from emergency pharmacies. Most emergency pharmacies also offer multiple types of triptane. I myself take naratriptane, but sumatriptane is available at most apoths as well
Get the 5 mg over the counter version without a prescription at an emergency pharmacy.
You can get naratriptan at any pharmacy without prescription, in case that one also works for you.
Look for emergency pharmacies, I know theres one at Gesundbrunnen Station
not sure if it is helpful or if you tried it but antihistamines really help knock mine out , specifically diphenhydramine which is available at pharmacies
I’m a Rizatriptan taker myself and you can get naratriptan over the counter in Berlin at any apotheke. It only comes as a two-dose packet but 1 usually takes care of an oncoming migraine. You can ask for more than one two-dose packet if you explain you’re traveling.
Take two pills if you’re already suffering.
sumatriptan is over the counter in germany
For tomorrow you could call 116117 for an emergency doctors appointment or go to "KV Notdienst" in major hospitals. Go there as soon as they open, however. The later you get there the longer waiting time will be
Know this might not help right now but a good trick at home is to bathe your feet in hot water, it calms the pain.

Do you actually not know that migraines can be medical emergencies, or are you just minimizing someone else’s pain for fun? Is basic medical knowledge not a thing in your country?
No I didn’t know that. TIL
