So me and my frnds went on sat to berghain ( MMF) and then on the door they told us have fun and we went in and getting security check. Out of no where a guard comes in and says to me that i have to leave and the guy who was checking me was also surprised and i told them Im with my frnds they said that they are also getting out . I have been inside before and we Didn’t do anything wrong. Do you guyz have any clue what happened..? We need closure.
Have read on here that this happened to some people. Weird, but nobody here knows why they are unable to communicate, only them.
Maybe a miss communication with the bouncers and you guys should’ve been rejected from the start ? Weird though, there is no closure lol we can only guess what happened, only they know why
It has happened to people I know. Sometimes they mix you up with someone else, sometimes another worker tells them about things they didn’t know to veto the decision.
Shit like this leaves me fascinated with berghain but uninterested in going to it when there is so many other good clubs and vibes in berlin to go it, I do respect a lot of the door politics in the city but sometimes it feels out of hand and thematic bullshit

I had a great time at the now closed Renate, it was an old apartment block so you can imagine the vibe it was incredible,
After finishing up at an after party and thinking wisely to go back to hostel late morning early afternoon to get a shower and some rest, I got chatting to a young german guy on the way he was carrying vinyl records he finished playing at, he pointed me in the direction, it was called the Danube Festival at the Anomaly Arts club , it was incredible and the best party ive ever been to in the whole of my clubbing experience. I left there 26 hours later..
I met some great friends im still in touch with now and met up with at the ADE, another great experience.
In short dont focus on berghain you will find a similar sound across the city regardless and find the best weekends in spontaneous decisions instead of planning everything, go with the flow be open and meet people make contacts and enjoy dont fall for the rising pretentious berghain culture there is more to berlin than that.

hi, Berlin dj and resident since 2003 here (I'm in my early 30s), there are plenty of clubs where people of mixed age go to (as opposed to only 20yo). Heidegluhen being one of them. Enjoy exploring and don't forget: You create the vibe with everyone else on the dancefloor 👌

Thanks for the recommendation, we are in the same age range, some day I will take a go there to this club, one thing that I also have problems with is finding kollektives that play the style of music, for example, in BH the best DJ's in the world play at pano for my taste.. for example Gerd Janson and these type of panorama DJs, another one is Sound Methaphors that sometimes they play somewhere else, but I feel that the big names are always playing in BH and also with that is hard to compete

Same here. Berghain is still the best club in the world if you don’t go every weekend and choose your 3-4 lineups per year wisely. If you go when people like morron is playing, expect respective audiences. If you go if it’s someone of a DJ Pete. Altinbas, Surgeon and Co., you’ll have the best experience of your life again and again.
Agree, and those calibers of DJ's you cannot find in the SAME party in Berlin.. the alternative is to see those DJs in some kind of festival or w.e, which is much harder than simply going to BH if you live in Berlin

And what makes someone too weird to deserve being on a dance floor with anyone else? They play this game of turning ppl away and taking forever to let others in even when the club is empty. Well that's based on my opinion, I'm on my 30's, I came to Germany as a high skilled worker, I don't do drugs or drink for almost 8 years now and I'm one of the "normallest" guys you will ever find in BH haha also because I check the vibe on a sober state and I can say that nothing matches BH, I've been to many clubs and kolletives in Berlin. What makes someone too weird? Well maybe "weird" is not the correct word, but people that would be impressed with what happens there inside, and would have this curious, judging look and would make others feel umcofortable. They don't take forever to let ppl inside if it's empty, BH doesn't need to do that lol.. I've been in BH several times, like 25+ times or more, I got rejected a bunch of times because I dont have some face tattoo or some stylish clothes, so yeah, the door policy is flawed in some ways but that's also the "fun" of it.. it's like you can go inside one time and never know when you will get inside again, even some some regulars get rejected, and this tension of never getting in again makes you enjoy to the fullest, because you don't know when you will get inside again, and this, no club can compare with

This happened to me when I was in Berlin and gave it my one shot to try and go. I even got the stickers over my camera and was pulling out money to pay the cashier and they pulled me out. I don’t speak German so I was afraid to try and ask what I could have done. 😢
