Hi does anyone know what the risk level for monkeypox is these days in Berlin. I wanted to go to Laboratory but I’m not vaccinated for Monkeypox. Is it still very high risk?
If you don’t have a medical condition that prevents you from getting the vaccine, just take it. The cases reported during 2025 are higher than the cases from the last two years combined.
I asked they don’t even do vaccines in the country and city where I live because there are no cases or Monkeypox .. I doubt I’ll be able to get it in Germany because I don’t have the necessary health card otherwise I’d get it
I’m vaccinated against monkeypox, but my boyfriend and I have been sick for almost six weeks now with some kind of bacteria or whatever we picked up at the lab.
I had four weeks of diarrhea and recently tested positive for Giardia, and I’m probably dealing with pneumonia now.
I’m not saying this is specific to the lab, but these last two months there have been tons of viruses and bacteria going around in Berlin
Just a heads up, "mpox" is now the preferred terminology due to racist connotations. If you're concerned about your health and contracting infections, the lab probably isn't a good choice.
Edit: because people keep downvoting me, I'm genuinely trying to be helpful. I've linked the info below
People comparing monkeys to African people and/or LGBT people, and generally being racist. Also rodents are the primary source of infection, not monkeys. It was recommended to change terminology by the WHO due to harmful stereotypes.

Take care of yourself.
Just get the vaccination. What have you to lose?
lol seriously. Check it out, you will see all the consequences.
Huh?
You are going to have sex with random people and ask this ?
Bruh 😂

Life is about risk management.
Even if you get a vaccine in Berlin, you need a few weeks to build certain level of antibodies, and then you will need a second dose.

I got both oral and anal gonorrhea at lab a few months ago.
The plus side is now I know how to properly spell gonorrhea!
Where do u test ( swab ) here in Berlin? My doctor charged me 400 to test me for everything last week
I got tested back in the states.
I sent you a DM.

Still sounds like 90s boy band to me.
What do animals have to do with racism?

Lab 🧪 is wild … definitely get vaccinated if you can.
Why wild??
To be honest I’m kind of terrified now I think I’m going to go but just hang out and not touch anyone in true voyeur style 😂
Does anyone know where I can get doxyprep in Berlin by the way?
The problem isn’t laboratory it’s you having sex with 1000 people
✨Slut shaming is soooo 1800’s✨
You only need 1 guy to catch it, besides, mpox is spread in other way as well.
Going to laboratory, monkeypox should your least concern lol
No idea..
