In Timișoara there are 80 churches, 12 of which were built after 1989;[106] 41 belong to the Orthodox Church, eight to the Roman Catholic Church and three to the Greek Catholic Church.[83] In addition, there are three synagogues in Cetate, Fabric and Iosefin neighborhoods, all three built before World War I, when Jews accounted for 10% of the city's population;[107] the Orthodox synagogue in Iosefin and the central Neolog synagogue still hold regular religious services.[108][109] Timișoara is the seat of the Archiepiscopate of Timișoara, the see of the Metropolis of Banat, as well as the seat of the Diocese of Timișoara, one of the six Roman Catholic dioceses in Romania.

    It's common for Romanians not from Cluj/North-West areas to hate on the city. Usually because it is more expensive than most places(except Bucharest) and is the main hub of the Romanian Tech Industry

    Itā€™s also a lot more expensive than Bucharest (talking about rent/apartments here).
