Interestingly, when Beamdog moved the barbarian into the fighter kits section of the user interface, one of the arguements against it was that the barbarian can't dual, which would confuse people expecting it to work like the other fighter kits.
The wild mage was cited in defense. "You can't dual a wild mage, and that's not confusing anybody, so it's fine."
One a side note, how is it on Android? I’ve playing on an iPad and had no complaints, but saw that Android version has got poor reviews due to people having various technical issues?
Android versions worked fine (BG1/2 and ToB) for me, been playing them on and off for years now. UI can be a fiddle on smaller screens but thats my only niggle.
Could be the hardware tripping them as android covers a lot of different devices.
Side note not tried NWN since the beta, that was near unplayable on a tablet/phone with the camera setup it had.
As a mobile NWN player I can safely say it is fine to use, you'll click sometimes in the wrong place but generally you'll be fine
I play mobile on an hardcore RP permadeath server called Haze where there are a lot of custom UIs and I do a pretty good job for a mobile user tbh
I also play BG1, SOD, BG2, IWD and PT:EE mobile too, so I'm an all rounder :D
(I wish there was a good way to get IWD2:EE for mobile as well sob sob [yes, I know that there was a lost code issue and people were working on recovering it and once they did there was copyrights issue and then doing it over into EE as a mod I think, but there ain't a mobile version for it iirc)
It's fine enough on a Pixel 10, only bug I've noticed is that taps seem to register very slightly above where they actually are, by maybe 5 pixels it's quite small and has not been a problem. Also just generally the cramped phone screen is less than great but no fault of the devs there
The only issue I've run into while testing various thieves variants recently was with the one I had most fun with so far, shadowdancer: sometimes when sneaking the icon on the bar would indicate I'm sneaking while the character wouldn't go semi transparent and enemies targeted and attacked it, so I would have to drop the bugged sneak, wait for cool down and reapply, it would happen on occasion and other than that it's smooth sailing on a mid phone, oh and btw I fixed the wild mage issue with eekeeper;) and I'm not very happy with the scroll thief tbh:p
I'm playing the Android version. My only issue, is about once in every 4th or 5th session of play, it closes, which means save frequently, which I need to do anyway. And this maybe more of a Chromebook issue, honestly. Otherwise, it works great.
You don't need Windows-only tools to address every saved game where you want to enable this, or installing the whole mod to adjust one specific behavior of the game. You just need to edit DUALCLAS.2DA. It is just a text file, but not necessarily exported, so you can access it with NearInfinity.
If you’re planning on doing pure thief anyway doing a level 2 dual can get you some goodies that are nice for the early game and are basically free in the long run. I think most people do it with Fighter for the survivability but having a few Magic Missiles around is nice too.
Wild Mages and Barbarians can't dual class.
Wild Mage would probably be the only answer
Wild mage class can't dual.
Wild Mages cant dual class in vanilla BG.
If you want to dual class you need to use eekeeper to edit the character, or install that component from the Tweak Anthology mod.
Highly recommend that mod if only for the qol tweaks.

Whoops.
I'm playing on Android, unless it's an override mod?

Cheers may look at NWN again sometime, main campaign was a bit dull from memory but its been a decade or more since I played it last.
The DLCs are peak, they get even better when you put in a bridge fan made module between SoU and HotU and an epilogue after HotU
Edit: the main campaign is...unique, sometimes indeed dull, but charming in its own way
HotU was the module I played the most back then, Undrentide was good but felt too separate. Brisging mod sounds awesome tbh

Worth noting that some particularly powerful creatures can see you even if you're invisible. So that might be a part of it.
No no, It was with like a hobgoblin too, and there was the thing with normal non sneaking looking sprite, so looks like a bug
Oh yeah that's definitely a bug.

Out of curiosity, is it possible to use EEKeeper to dual/multi a Sorcerer?
From what I've heard there's a bunch of background stuff that makes Sorcerer a nightmare programming-wise but I don't claim to understand any of it.

Wild mages didn't exist at all in Vanilla BG.
Pretty sure wild mages can’t dual class. If you’re on PC you might be able to get into some EEKeeper shenanigans though.
wild mage can't dual class
Gods, I LOVE this portrait.
It's great.
Human player character- Check
Prime Requisite in new class over 17- Check
Maybe it’s the wild mage kit? Idk
Where’s the portrait from?
Faces of Good and Evil
Isn't it usually better to start thief and dual into mage?

Why do you want to dual class at lvl 2? Also, you should start as a thief then dual into mage.
High lvl mages are more useful than high lvl thieves.
Start thief and get a high find traps and open lock skill then dual into mage.
You really roll those stats or did you cheat?
That's just 91 sum... If I wanted to cheat I'd get 108 lol
