bunch of strangers, did he not think “I might get in trouble for this?”

There was literally nothing going for it whatsoever, no interesting sights. Ok, some beaches but they were covered in rubbish.
Then i thought "imagine these people coming to the UK and being given free housing and benefits - it's literal paradise compared to their shithole hell-on-earth homeland".
I am sure Afghanistan is no different. how could you possible hope to integrate these people in a modern, developed, civilised country?
What baffles me is they’ve just been given a golden ticket - free accommodation, food and health care for the rest of their life with no expectation to contribute back into society, and yet they throw it all away over dumb stuff like this. If a country took me in and gave me early retirement I’d be on my best behaviour so avoid going back to Afghanistan.
They just do, and expect everything to turn out like it did back home, that the justice system will be just as shoogly, and they'll be let off with a smack bum.
Like, their impulse control is just non existant. A normal man sees a pretty woman and thinks "man, she's hot", or if he gets pissed off he'll feel like he wants to dash something across the room and choke someone out, but doesn't act on it. The Middle Eastern/African men don't. Their actions are their thoughts. I don't know how to describe it effectively, but it has something to do with part of their brain just not kicking in, and leaving them with a far higher chance of cognitive limitations, which affects multiple things including decision making (Source) and given they're from a corner of the world where inbreeding is very much as normal as making a cuppa, it wouldn't shock me if that percentage ticks up with every subsequent generation
I had a friend who grew up in Malawi and in the village kids would walk several hours each day to fetch water.
A well meaning western charity came and built a well.
No one had to walk to fetch water, however the well required a teeny tiny bit of maintenance so sewage wouldn’t seep into the drinking supply.*
Very basic, I think it was like one o ring they had to check was fastened. None of them felt like it was their responsibility (not my problem)
Anyway unsurprisingly because the villagers had no concept of consequences of not maintaining this space age technology (a simple hand pump) and within a matter of months they were back to walking hours each way every day to fetch water.
Another story on Africans not being able to conceptualise consequences: once a year when their crops would be ready to harvest, they would throw a massive feast for the village and go to bed with a full belly.
Of course the next day (and rest of the year) they’d go hungry because there’s no food left.
This is the complete opposite to the western mindset.
We then spoke about Rhodesia and Ian Smith. Contrary to popular view, the rhodesians had a very paternalistic view to the African natives. They understood that you couldn’t combine a primitive and space age technology and expect things to work, which is why they limited the franchise to only educated landowners. Of course in practice that was basically 100% white, but within a few generations there was a large growth in African voters.
Of course the western liberal principle of universal franchise was at complete odds with this, which is why Rhodesia fell, and within a generation all the progress was wiped away and Rhodesia went from being the breadbasket of Africa to…. Well there’s a reason people make jokes about being a Zimbabwean billionaire

We don’t just need to stop it, we need to get them out. Day one of reform should be all benefits for migrants stopped no exceptions. We should be banning all of their unacceptable practices like burqas, non-stun slaughter, child genital mutilation, polygamy, cousin marriage, Muslim schools, Sharia, and so on.
Social housing needs to be addressed. If migrants are a net benefit why are they in social housing? Every migrant should be economically self-sufficient, no more social housing, and any with social housing should be moved to the private sector so that the social housing can be given to a British person who is genuinely vulnerable, it shouldn’t be used as a baby farm for non-working single mothers.
You can’t blame him for assuming he could just walk in off the street and ask to be seen, I’m sure he’s gotten everything else he wanted( money, accommodation, meals, phone, clothes, healthcare, transport) since he’s been here, why wouldn’t he think he could just rock up to any hospital and demand to see a Doctor for free. I guess when someone dared to tell him no he lost his shit.

It's not a culture which values self control. The more angry you get about something, the better a person you're seen to be.
