looking for an alternative to the surge. i absolutely love this bag however, almost every year i experience some kind of failure that never gets covered and i just cannot accept this in a backpack. trying to find some other brands with comparable brands
i went to an rei and checked out topo designs and they have a lot of the features im looking for but didnt like the shape of the bag and materials didnt feel great
something that i really enjoy about the surge is the amount of organization panels there are, so something similar would be greatly appreciated. any advice is welcomed, budget around $300 and under

Able Carry makes pretty good stuff, I have their Max EDC and it's great
ehhh, iffy on TNF just due to their quality decline over the past few years. mainly looking for other brands that have bags LIKE the surge
I was considering TNF till I read reviews on how they haven't been honoring warranty and the new straps keep ripping which they have been refusing to cover so it is basically overpriced garbage. I haven't seen anything like the surge, but you can look at Thule, Cotopaxi, Fjallraven, Patagonia, and Osprey. Three of these brands I have seen suggested as an alternative to TNF, just because the quality has been declining for a while now.
Sympl Commuter and Tomtoc UrbanEX are worth looking into. Also the Tom Bihn Synik if you can stretch your budget a little.
