Opened Roku this morning and saw an ad about this mainstream series that has an East Asian male leading role. This is an encouraging start and hopefully a sign of what’s more to come.
Is his character supposed to be adopted by a white family? Otherwise tbh having an Asian face with that name might take a lot of viewers out of the immersion of the show.
Interesting,
but I want to know if there will ever be a Shang Chi 2...
Most likely would be another one , I heard it will be film in 2026 and release in 2027 somewhere .
Simu is also gonna be in the sleeping dogs film adaptation, directed by Timo Tjahjanto
It’s on Peacock TV. Heard that with Walmart Plus 30 day free trial you can get free Peacock TV along with it.
maybe we can finally skip some bad tropes
I plan to watch this soon
And his name is Alexander Hale.

His family name is Han. They changed it when they go to America.
No. He has full Chinese parents. They changed the name to "fit" in with America when they came to the USA.
Yeah his name should be Cho Chang or Chang Chan or something.
Thanks for bringing this up! I saw a blurb about a little while ago but forgot about it.
