• Kristina Joksimovic, a 38-year-old Swiss model, was murdered by her husband Thomas in their Binningen home in February 2024.
    • Thomas dismembered Kristina's body using a jigsaw and garden shears, then pureed her remains in an industrial blender with chemicals.
    • Autopsy revealed strangulation as the cause of death, with blunt force trauma and multiple cuts and bruises on Kristina’s body.
    • Thomas was watching YouTube videos on his phone while dismembering his wife, showing extreme cold-bloodedness and lack of empathy.

    JFC.

Thank you for bullet pointing this so I don’t have to click on a Bored Panda link!! That site is garbage!

    Aight enough reddit for today

how did they perform an autopsy if the remains were... pureed...

  • How do you do an autopsy on puree?

Police found the blender contained “a large number” of flaps of skin with muscles still attached, and chunks of bone. 👀

    Why did I open Reddit?

This really is one of the worst things I've read in a while tbf 😓

What a horrible day to be literate

  • It’s been 2 years. And he initially admitted to killing her. What exactly were they waiting for

Woah woah, slow down there Speedy Gonzalez. Let’s not be too hasty.

It took time to find enough evidence so the second charge for ‘disturbing the peace’ would hold up.

Heaven forbid he gets acquitted on that charge

It's not the US. Protocols are way different. He had a lot of different stories for what happened. All of them sound like bullshit. Doesn't mean their government and police aren't held to the letter of the law. Not all governments are like ours where laws don't apply to police officers and government officials

Sure. I understand. Who hasn’t liquified remains in self defense?

Even in the US there are cases where they haven't arrested the perp immediately even with egregious shit like that. The only thing they can proove at that point is called desecration of a corpse. I'm not sure what they'd call that law in Switzerland.

For comparison, there was a recent case out of NY I believe where a woman in the 90s killed her new born baby and then to try to hide it she burned the corpse of the baby in a park. She was caught like this year and they didn't arrest her until days after her admission of burning the baby because she maintained that the baby drowned while she gave birth to it in the bathtub. Basically she refused to say she actively killed it and said it was an accident. They didn't arrest her until they had all their proof of murder in line.

  • ‘Police noted that Thomas showed a “remarkably high level of criminal energy,…’

    Criminal. Energy.

    Scary

  • Aren’t Swiss prisons a country club?
