I thought it was foggy driving near the national park near us late last night. No it's the water evaporating from how hot the road still was, blew my mind
Well this time of the year Australia is only competing with South America and Southern Africa for summer 🌺 temperatures, so we should be the hottest place in the world 🌍 a lot of the time. Places like Marble Bar are notoriously hot 🔥, I think it holds the world record for consecutive days in a row over 100F, or 38C.
I am still waiting on that wet summer they were talking about. I’ve been back in Australia now for 5 summers and I think this has been my worse since being back. I’m in QLD and the heat has been exacerbating multiple medical conditions and now I think I’m going to gave to join the ppl moving south purely so I don’t feel like death for 4-6 months a year.
I can vouch, Im in Port Hedland, about 2hrs from Marble Bar. I work outside shunting rail equipment.
Clothes are drenched most the day. Makes the beer taste better after work though =)
It was so hot and then it rained and it was still so hot and humid after.

I’m having flashbacks to when I worked in a mine just outside of marble bar this time of year.
It was simultaneously the best and the worst time of my life.
Hmmmm im guessing it's summer!
Yeah those are rookie numbers. We gotta pump them right up!
Aussie Aussie Aussie ow ow ow!

I have been in hoter weather in Sydney and Adeliade, Riyadh in summer was in the 50s.
I remember working in Penrith on the day it hit just shy of 49°C. Fucking diabolical.
Yeah I remember that, I was driving on the Putty Rd. Not a soul out and I was thinking “if my car breaks down out here I’m phuct”.
Yup I was there. I actually had to stay home from work and look after my cats because we didn’t have aircon.
Got a kid pool and some ice from the servo and some towels to throw on top and just made them sit in there all day and made sure they stayed hydrated.
Get fucked
Jokes on you nerds! Flying out to the northern hemisphere right now

Don’t know about that, it’s been a pretty mild build up here in FNQ all things considered.
You don’t know about my medical conditions being affected by the heat? Okay.
No, I don’t. I was pointing out that this build up has been better than most. Enjoy Tassie
Which is irrelevant when I was stating for me it’s been the hardest. Also, I’m not in FNQ so how is that relevant to me?
Nah it's just the usual shit here
21C in Melbourne and 19 tomorrow.
Yeah, not fun when it can't decide if it's really hot then decides to go 14ºc in the morning.
I was in Swan Hill during this time.
Would you believe it, there was a hailstorm thrown into that day as well!
winning
Fark. WA represent!
These places are known hot spots.
Wait a minute. I was in Saudi recently and they had a temp of 50!
Pretty normal summer temps
Fancy that. Anyone would think it’s summer.

Thats also because majority of the landmass is in the northern hemisphere and have winters right now!
