  • How likely is it for Tyrion to be the Mad King's bastard? Would it ruin the irony that Tywin hates Tyrion but Tyrion is the "small projection" of Tywin?

  • Which are the 7 most oldest still existing houses in Westros?

We don't have a specific list, but some ancient families include:

    AFFC The Queenmaker

As she led the princess to the fire, Arianne found Ser Gerold behind her. "My House goes back ten thousand years, unto the dawn of days," he complained. "Why is it that my cousin is the only Dayne that anyone remembers?"

    TWOIAF The North

The vast and frigid realm of the Kings of Winter, the Starks of Winterfell, is generally considered the first and oldest of the Seven Kingdoms, in that it has endured, unconquered, for the longest. The vagaries of geography and history set the North apart from their southron neighbors.

    AFFC Appendix

The Hightowers of Oldtown are among the oldest and proudest of the Great Houses of Westeros, tracing their descent back to the First Men. Once kings, they have ruled Oldtown and its environs since the Dawn of Days, welcoming the Andals rather than resisting them, and later bending the knee to the Kings of the Reach and giving up their crowns whilst retaining all their ancient privileges.

  • WHERE is the evidence for Sansa warging birds?

To begin with, the Hound repeatedly calls her "Little Bird." Sansa herself (and Arya!) also uses that label. IIRC, her fans began citing the 'warging' interpretation when they first read that scene near the end of AFFC when she vividly 'sees' Marillion in his sky cell. In other words, she got a "bird's eye view."

Though we have not seen her clearly warging any animal, she does seem to have some affinity for birds and dogs. We know that GRRM has said Sansa inherited the warging gene. So there is some basis for her having some warging ability, though it's hardly "evidence." Yet.

Do you know which chapter she sees Marillion? I'm not home and only have the audiobooks available, and missed that on several re-reads (which means nothing, as it took me until 2007 (I think) to realize that whenever arbor gold was mentioned, someone was lying).

  • What is the significance of “you know nothing, Jon Snow?” I have general ideas about it, but wondering what others think?

I read it as "You are naive. The world is not black and white as you think. You have lots to learn"

in my opinion, Jon is coming of age and he was he becoming a man in regards to being a soldier and knowing how to act around other men. but the nights watch taught him little and less about being a man to a woman. so Ygritte sees Jon thinking he's a man but to her he's a little boy and knows nothing about women which means he knows nothing about at least half the world. through Ygritte Jon becomes more of a man through... camping
