I saw recently in a post that trump was making a mass deportation of Ethiopian people. In the comments I saw a good amount of black folks supportive of this. Why aren’t they upset that he is targeting our brothers and sisters from the diaspora? Not just for Ethiopia but other Africans.
You should ask them.
Probably psy-op, astroturing. Some people are just assholes though.
In my personal opinion and from what I’ve seen over the years, Africans and black Americans have a bit of strife with each other.
Africans have been the butt of many jokes since I was a child in the early 2000s and Africans usually call black Americans ghetto and ratchet and usually want nothing to do with them because they feel black Americans make black people in general look bad. This internalized hatred of each other I feel makes a lot of black Americans hesitant to speak up for them because they really don’t fuck with them like that.
Somalians are a whole different story and many of them don’t even consider themselves black. So yeah after all the shit black Americans have been through in this country, can you really blame them for not wanting to stand up for another group of people who can’t even stand with them? The fatigue from always wanting black people at the front of every movement is exhausting and a thankless job as history has shown.
